Historia
In the world of Warbreaker, each person is born endowed with the power of one Breath―which can be sold and collected by others, then used to Awaken objects and even corpses to do their bidding. A few individuals who die in glory return as gods, with the power of thousands of Breath, but no memory of their mortal lives―and are enthroned in the Court of Gods in Hallandren’s capital. To Vivenna and Siri, princesses of Idris, the abuse of Breath and the claim of the Returned to be gods are repugnant blasphemy.

Story Rating:
This was a really good story centered around powerful people with realistic faults and motivations. I can't stress how believable this world is. The younger sister happened to be my favorite character. She was okay with being useless because she denounced responsibility. She simply didn't care that much about modesty but didn't overly act rebellious. When it came time to play the game she was capable of learning. Lot of men AND women don't actually write teenage girls very well. This book hits all sorts of character personalities. Everyone drove the plot line without it being forced. I really appreciate that.
Author Review:
This was my first Brandon Sanderson book. I picked it up thinking it was going to be a love story. It wasn't what I expected but I wasn't disappointed either. He's a fantastic writer; the world building is good and the character developement is great. He is someone that does plot twists correctly and you are left wanting more.
Narrator Rating:
I know everyone loves this narrator but personally I dislike her a lot. I gave it a shot and thank god I liked it. Her pronunciation of some words are like nails to a chalk board for me. Example: "Well" is said throughout this book and I hate how she says it like shes a old witch. I've listened to other books with her narration and I hate how many of the male voices are the same. The men all sound old and stuffy. The narrator's part and the inner thoughts/dialogue breaks are too abrupt. I don't feel like they blend seemlessly. I wish there was more emotion but there wasn't. What I do appreciate about her is that she does very long and lengthy readings. That's hard work. That's why I give her 2 stars instead of one.

I never thought this could happen to me. I never imagined one chance meeting on the eve of my eighteenth birthday could change my life so completely. Now I belong to him. To Julian. To a man who is as ruthless as he is beautiful - a man whose touch makes me burn. A man whose tenderness I find more devastating than his cruelty.

Alot of Suspense that couldn't hold me
Revisado: 03-22-19
I'm sorry, I know that the writting is pretty good but I'm dont think I can finish this book. I can't even get to the romance part. I really dislike her situation because I cannot relate to the choices she keeps making. I don't think shes very smart or has strong will. I don't understand why he would kidnap this plain jane or why she would fall for this empty business man. I really wanted to like this book because it excited me to see what motive he would kidnap her for. It's dark but I don't feel like the characters accomplish enough complexity to make it interesting. They go right into rape and bdsm, I might have liked it more if the synopsis was straightforward about it being erotic. It was in the YA section, I'm only 22 but I disapprove. I give it two stars because its not for me but it had alot of potential for others.

Worth waiting till the end
Revisado: 03-21-19
I will admit there where some points I fell asleep but overall there is a very serious note because of the war torn world building. However, I liloveve the strong female lead who is actually very smart not just stated to be smart. I also like that the male lead is not all powerful and cunning. I can't wait to find out how their relationships will mend in the next book.

Overall a good writter
Revisado: 03-20-19
This is my rating for the entire series. 4 stars is my overall rating because the story is well played out but I don't agree with how many books there are (unnecessary sexual filler in 1&2). I also dislike the female narrator. She is monotoned, her males sound overally masculine, and her southern accent is not great. It would be a better netflix series than a book series. I have a few things to note.
Ella and Reed
Pros:
-Dramatic
-Fast Paced
-Great fighting scenes
Cons:
-Too many sexy scenes
-The 1st and 2nd book could have been 1
-1st book relies to much on attraction
Hartley and East
Pros:
-Non-Typical Good Girl/Bad Boy
-Ties up some loose ends on the Royal Family
-More serious and less about highschool ranking systems
Cons:
-The female narrator is horrible for Hartley (I can't get over how she says "Doritos")
-Loose ends on other characters
-Not enough about how Sebastian will cope

Historia
Easton Royal has it all: looks, money, intelligence. His goal in life is to have as much fun as possible. He never thinks about the consequences because he doesn’t have to. Until Hartley Wright appears, shaking up his easy life. She’s the one girl who’s said no, despite being attracted to him. Easton can’t figure her out and that makes her all the more irresistible. Hartley doesn’t want him. She says he needs to grow up. She might be right.

Makes me dislike East but that ending tho...
Revisado: 03-19-19
I didn't think it was as eventful as the last arch so I thought it wasn't being careful crafted. I thought Eastons manic thoughts were just filler because in this book hes so much more hostile than sweet. He went through a lot but the bitterness was harsher than his usual guilt. I'm not too mad about the ending because I get to just move on. I feel bad for the people who had to wait for it to come out.

I judged too fast
Revisado: 03-19-19
All of my complaints were wrapped up all together in this book. I disliked the lack of parental supervision, the disregard for Daniel's attempt to rape Ella in the first book. I also hated the female narrator in comparison to the male narrator. But god damn this book was so good and you get to see how their inner dialogues fits the actors. When Reeds narrator has the inner dialogues its alot sweeter than Ellas narrators version of Reed. And Ellas inner dialogue protrays a strong girl who is outwardly very sweet to Reed when his narrator reads her lines. I feel like I get the whole picture. So glad I held on to the end of this book.

Revisado: 03-18-19
Much better than the first book. Less Sex more responsibility. Bringing the male narrator was an amazing idea. I wish he narratores the first one. This made me realized how bad the female voice actoer was when portraying the boys (overly masculine and the accent was too heavy).

These Kids are out of control
Revisado: 03-18-19
Honestly, I was having a really good time listening to this book unlit Ella gets drugged. They way the brothers and Val handle it is very inappropriate. Even if they humiliate Daniel it doesn't mean he's going to stop drugging girls. Valarie almost tells Ella what happens with Daniel then she gets petty out of no where and decides to let Ella fall into the trap. Then Ella apologizes to her... Excuse me? Then she doesnt tell her friend about it. Ella and Reed have an annoying relationship, they barely emphasise any of Reeds personality before she can't resist him. I guess what I hate most about this book is how the author makes all the illegal activity glamorous. The hazing from the boys, the boys doing drugs, the boy gambling, no one is home to watch the boys. The father encouraging them to party, never caring about them breaking curfew, letting them sneak out, giving them booze, and never noticing how Brooke touches the boys. Theres no legal repercussions to anyone actions, no even the boy that is drugging girls. No one even gets detention...
WHAT did make me give this book 3 stars instead of 1 is how good the suspense is. It keeps me on my seat long enough to the end. Now I want to know what does happen to Ella outside of the Royal Household.

Boring
Revisado: 03-16-19
I read the other ones and gave both of them 4 stars because it missed a couple of things for me. However, this one was just horrid. I feel like the heroine completely stop growing. Just the same doubt that I though was over. Basically, I hate the characters they focus on and in the end none of them seemed reliable as mentor or guidance. The author has empathize too much on how the main character is alone and has the potential to be more powerful than anyone we've met. Also, moonman was depicted as a cool and almost "all powerful" story weaver but right off the bat in this book the author tears down this image with inconsistent behavior.
She makes it hard to care about the characters because they all drag the plot back. The main character seems to be the only plot driving character. This is making me dislike her too. She has no interests besides climbing trees (a family trait). She became so dull because all she really wants is to learn her magic, drive everyone mad by not listening, and touching her butterfly necklace.
BIGGEST CON: The story is really drawn out by the lengthy recaps of how she met this person or what had happen since she had seen this person. It was really repeative to listen to because her inner thoughts are immediately told to us. It slows down all action scenes as well.

Better than the first book
Revisado: 03-16-19
I gave my other review 4 stars as well. While my cons in the first book improved (narration & plot predictability) it was lacking the romance because of the distance set between the two main characters. I thought there would be more lovers development but they seemed to just accept one another love. I feel the relationship growing slowly in this book but I didn't feel any passion. The serial killers part played a big role in gaining another star to my original 3 star review. Still kept my interest. I'm going to download the next book.
