Seriously.

The narrator is great and does a wonderful job but totally hits moments of having that iconic "in a world..." movie trailer voice.

Storywise, there are NO ALIENS but mentions of with zero explanations of how there are mentions. Overall, the story doesn't really DO much or GO anywhere.

It's not a bad story, it just seems to make you want a story that ISN'T happening here.

the narrator was fantastic, as always, but the story fell short. it takes to long to get interesting and it too "generic sci-fi" and not enough star wars, which really drowns out the few legitimate moments of interest.

enjoyable listen

I enjoyed this. I'd never read the book or seen the films but I've managed a video game or two that put the interest in me. A friend has read them and was very adamant that i go through the first few books, so this was not a disppointment. There deemed to be several times the story randomly skips ahead time wise, and there were a few times the audio had a cast or was narrated, and that REALLY threw me off, as i felt like the ap skipped several chapters or something. Other than that slight gripe, this is well worth it, whether you go see the films or not.

if you liked the movie, this is the same. it's good, Jonathan Frakes is great, as is his reading, but i was a little disappointed that they didn't extend anything or add in more humor. some of thenvisual jokes from the film aren't as great non-visually but it's still a good listen, even if it's just for that one scene in particular.

not what i expected but, somehow, exactly what i expected. it was an enjoyable listen but slower paced than i would have thought. (films vs book mentality)

the narrator is fantastic and it was good the whole way through, minus a slow down here or there.

i fully enjoyed this, from the narration to the perfomances, start to finish. if you're a fan of the graphic novel or just wanting to start it before the netflix version or even just wanting a damn good listen, this is a great piece to have. i enjoyed this and McAvoy does it right.

great narrator, bad story

Essentially, this is the movie but they manage to change a few things, pointlessly and not for the better. the film was a mess but this at least seemed more coherent. they add small bits to flesh it out but they don't really add much to explain things better. it's still just a mess with a slight bit more to it. i DID enjoy this better than the movie but it's still what it is.

the narrator is fantastic, pronounces everything correctly (which is hard for a lot of other star wars audiobooks), and he gives a great performance and voice to the speaking roles.
