Historia
"True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are." Social scientist Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW, has sparked a global conversation about the experiences that bring meaning to our lives - experiences of courage, vulnerability, love, belonging, shame, and empathy. In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization.

I hated this book.
Revisado: 01-05-18
What would have made Braving the Wilderness better?
Not to be judgemental
What could Brené Brown have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not narrate it. I think her voice was annoying and I why I didnt like it.
What didn’t you like about Brené Brown’s performance?
Nothing.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Braving the Wilderness?
Take the judgement from the book. It has a good concept but seemed like if you were on social media or something you are a bad person. That's BS.

Historia
Sideways: Chile follows the further adventures of Miles Raymond (played by Paul Giamatti in the critically acclaimed movie Sideways). It’s now a few years later and Miles is a successful author with a blockbuster movie adaptation under his belt, but he’s still searching for something, and depression has him, once again, in its taloned grip. When he is offered a chance to travel to the country of Chile and visit their wine regions for a magazine assignment, Miles—his world turned upside down by bad financial investments and even worse luck with relationships—happily agrees.

Why end the Sideways story here! Love this one!
Revisado: 04-06-17
If you could sum up Sideways 3 Chile in three words, what would they be?
Maturity. True Love. Wine
Which scene was your favorite?
When Miles made it to the dessert and Maya was there waiting but not for him. I liked Miles "for a moment" believed there was a god!
Who was the most memorable character of Sideways 3 Chile and why?
Miles.
Any additional comments?
Wow! This book was waaaaaaaaaay better than vertical and should have been a follow up to the first Sideways novel. I am so glad Miles and Jack grew up or rather seen the light. I also enjoyed the ending because it leaves me hopeful of Miles future. This novel should be the sequel to the Sideways movie..

Historia
Sideways is the story of two friends, Miles and Jack, going away together for the last time to steep themselves in everything that makes it good to be young and single: pinot, putting, and prowling bars. In the week before Jack plans to marry, the pair heads out from Los Angeles to the Santa Ynez wine country.

Love, Love this story!!!
Revisado: 03-28-17
I saw the movie first but this book was very good. Rex Pickett is so good at writing about transitions in life. This book makes you relatable to Miles (provided ur going through a MLC). I love this story because its raw not sugar coated with “think positive.” Lets be honest, at some point in our lives we have a down point and had to find a way out. That was Miles. Great story and I jotted down every winery and Im off to try them!

Historia
It’s seven years after the events of Sideways. Miles has written a novel that has been made into a wildly successful movie, and the movie has changed his life. Jack, contrarily, is divorced, has a kid, and is on the skids. Phyllis, Miles’ mom, has suffered a stroke that’s left her wheelchair-bound and wasting away in assisted living. She desperately wants to live with her sister in Wisconsin. When Miles gets invited to be master of ceremonies at the International Pinot Festival in Oregon, he hatches a harebrained road trip.

Good but at times boring
Revisado: 03-22-17
First Brick was good at narrating. He reminded me of Giamatti.
Now the storyline I was mixed. The mom stuff made this sequel into a drama. The ending was good.
If they do make a movie omit mom stuff and he n jack do a wine road trip through Oregon after her funeral.
As a female I relate to Miles and Im abt to start Sideways Chile
