Missing Stieg Larsson and his writing.....but..
Revisado: 11-11-17
I thought this was well written and while not seamless thought it was a good addition to the series. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend to anyone who is hesitating and thinks it's going to be a clunker, I avoided it for awhile but no regrets here.

Topical and timely, like the characters, even the ones I hate...lol. Back to form now after a couple of mehs for me, less love interest side stories and more spy on spy, after all it is a spy novel.

Closely modeled on his NATO experience of war gaming future conflicts, War with Russia is a chilling account of where we are heading if we fail to recognise the threat posed by the Russian president. Written by the recently retired Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe and endorsed by senior military figures, this audiobook shows how war with Russia could erupt, with the bloodiest and most appalling consequences, if the necessary steps are not taken urgently.

Armed with stolen US military technology, the Chinese are producing a frightening new breed of weaponry, led by the ICBM submarine Xia III - a vessel that just might be able to launch a nuclear warhead across the Pacific Ocean and take out an American West Coast city. National security adviser Admiral Arnold Morgan can't let that happen, and he dispatches the most stealthy hunter-killer submarine in the US fleet, the 9,000-ton ultrasecret Seawolf, deep into the dark, forbidden waters of the South China Sea.

Pretty Damn Good, got this listen for the entertainment and it did it's job. The good guys vs the bad guys. The performance is first rate by Guidall as per usual, does a great job playing up the surly Arnold Morgan. Though its thoroughly predictable in its politics and the stereotypes are on full display, it was a fun book abd recommend for anyone looking for a modern military adventure.
