Historia
Many famed music producers are known for a particular sound that has its day. Rick Rubin is known for something else: creating a space where artists of all different genres and traditions can home in on who they really are and what they really offer. He has made a practice of helping people transcend their self-imposed expectations in order to reconnect with a state of innocence from which the surprising becomes inevitable. Over the years, he has learned that being an artist isn’t about your specific output, it’s about your relationship to the world.

Revisado: 08-20-22
I loved Ms Whelan’s, My Year at Oxford, but this most recent book is even better. I stayed up late at night telling myself, only one more chapter.
Her narration skills add to the enjoyment.

Predictable
Revisado: 05-17-20
This was a predictable story, with too much description. Difficult for me to listen to a man’s voice describing a woman’s sexual thoughts. A waste of time in my opinion.

Historia
Cassie Hanwell was born for emergencies. As one of the only female firefighters in her Texas firehouse, she's seen her fair share of them, and she's excellent at dealing with other people's tragedies. But when her estranged and ailing mother asks her to uproot her life and move to Boston, it's an emergency of a kind Cassie never anticipated. The tough, old-school Boston firehouse is as different from Cassie's old job as it could possibly be. Hazing, a lack of funding, and poor facilities mean that the firemen aren't exactly thrilled to have a "lady" on the crew.

Not Mr Patterson’s finest
Revisado: 10-15-19
The multiple short chapters were very distracting. I could see no reason for 100+, other than to break the momentum of the story. The narration was poor. I won’t be listening to Melissa Leo again.
