Excellent podcast series!
Revisado: 09-30-23
My husband and I have listened to all of her series. The information she gives makes sense of nutrition, and gives easy to follow advice. As a narrator, she has a great voice and lovely accent! Who knew learning about nutrition could be so easy!

Even as a girl Morgan has always been wild, like the seas which batter the cliffs beneath her home, Tintagel Castle. But she has always been safe, too. Then one day her father is called away to a war from which he does not return. In his place comes the High King, Uther Pendragon, with the sorcerer Merlin lurking in his wake. Such an interesting take on Morgan’s early life and shaping who she is and who she becomes!
Narrator did a wonderful job, with a soothing calm voice and I could easily determine different characters.
I hope there is a part II!

Enchanting and riveting!
Revisado: 06-09-23
Such a creative and novel twist on a fairytale. The author really wove a new story with delightful, nods to fairytales. I was immediately hooked at the beginning of the story! It will keep you going back for more, it is unpredictable and nicely done. I cannot wait to walk my dog and listen to more!

Historia
There is but one aim: the summit, the summit of Mount Everest. What starts with a trouble-free trek into the Nepalese highlands explodes into a gripping tale of hardship, peril, and adversity. Pushed beyond their physical and mental limits, climbers drop by the wayside. Their primal instincts for survival battle with their dogged resolve to drag themselves to the top of the world. But the focus remains: battle to the summit, and if successful, somehow get back down again.

Good Everest read!
Revisado: 12-28-22
This book will put you on the mountain on the climb to Everest. I always wonder what drive someone to do this and the author is very introspective and very detailed on the whole expedition. It’s very interesting to listen to the detail of the whole experience.

Nonstop fun
Revisado: 11-29-22
I was so excited to see a third book in the series of the Thursday murder club. The stories are fun and fast paced with unexpected twists. I’ve gotten to know, and enjoy the characters and credit goes to the narrator who does an excellent job! I could listen to her voice tell stories all day. Once I started listening to this book, I couldn’t stop! My dog, and I both are getting extra walks in, so I have an excuse to listen to a few more chapters!

Historia
Never before has such an account of mountaineering triumph and tragedy been told from a woman's point of view. By proving that women had the skill, strength, and courage necessary to make this difficult and dangerous climb, the 1978 Women's Himalayan Expedition's accomplishment had a positive impact around the world, changing perceptions about women's abilities in sports and other arenas. And Annapurna: A Woman's Place has become an acknowledged classic in the annals of women's achievements - a story of challenge and commitment told with passion, humor, and unflinching honesty.

Gripping!
Revisado: 10-26-22
I really enjoyed this book and probably took my dog on a few extra walks in order to continue listening to it! The determinedness, strength and fortitude of the women in this story are remarkable. I enjoyed the detailed descriptions of making the different camps and the struggles they had. I don’t know how they kept going, but they showed remarkable strength. Overall, it’s very inspirational on women and mountain climbing.

Historia
All her life, Annie has played it nice and safe. After being unceremoniously dumped by her longtime boyfriend, Annie seeks a fresh start. She accepts a teaching position that moves her from Manhattan to a small village upstate. She’s stunned by how perfect and picturesque the town is. The people are all friendly and warm. Her new apartment is dreamy too, minus the oddly persistent spider infestation. Then Annie meets Sophie. Beautiful, charming, magnetic Sophie, who takes a special interest in Annie, who wants to be her friend.

Disliked the main character and main message
Revisado: 10-11-22
Likes: great world building, details, suspense. If you want to get into an autumn witchy vibe this book will make you want to make your own candles and wander farmers markets. I can tell this author writes amazing horror. There were some great suspenseful moments.
Dislikes: the main character starts off as whiny and I thought had great potential for growth. The book ends with zero character growth. Annie is still whiny at the end, but now she’s also kind of mean. You need to suspend reality, not for the magic, but for the lack of curiosity and logic from the main character. All of these mysterious magical things happen around her, all the towns people act strangely and she asks almost no questions. That was the most unrealistic part of the book! Bizarrely, the author also seems personally disgusted by German biergarten type restaurants. Everyone loves pretzels and cheese! The prevailing message also seemed to be you can either have power or a romantic relationship. Why not both??
It’s not the worst book, but it didn’t have a strong plot, realistic reactions from characters, and the main character wasn’t very likable.

Never is an extraordinary novel, full of heroines and villains, false prophets and elite warriors, jaded politicians and opportunistic revolutionaries. It brims with cautionary wisdom for our times, and delivers a visceral, heart-pounding story that transports listeners to the brink of the unimaginable.
