I’m not mad about her dating a guy much younger than her, but the maturity level is ridiculous. If you can’t accept a person for who they are, then find someone on your level. She should have been less concerned about him working at a car wash and more concerned about his lifestyle. The only chemistry they had was in the bedroom and that’s where it should have stayed.
This is a 40yr old woman settling for less, she doesn’t like the person he really is. Then her ex husband tells her that her problem is her because she won’t take his cheating behind back and that the reason Rock left her is because of her. No it couldn’t be because he is a drug dealer, controlling, physically and verbally abusive, disrespectful, uses the N word, smokes weed, and the list goes on, but yet she keeps chasing after him. Then they have the nerve to start talking about black love. Bye. No, this is toxiCity. This back and forth run between them became exhausting.

I loved the story. I’m surprised that this audio was released the way it was. The narrator made mistakes reading corrected herself and kept going several times and the swallowing at times became annoying.

This was a great love story, that will pull at your heart, make you laugh out loud and continue rooting for them. A relationship meant to be but at the wrong time based off a huge age difference.

Yes! Yes! And Yes! First let’s start with the narrator, Yes! She was amazing even had me tearing up at work when she put all her emotion into Briana’s emotional breakdowns. Second this is just another great story by Angie Thomas and I look forward to her third book. I had to keep reminding myself Bri is just a young girl who is going to make some mistakes although it shows that she was well aware of the traps, but she was so caught up on saving her family. This shows how the youth can carry the weight of the family on their shoulders and we not know about it. All she wanted to do was save her family while her mom just wanted her to be a kid and get an education.

In this story their are no favorites only a bunch of trifling fools. Every single one of them deserve karma. Zaria actions wasn’t due to Nardos treatment of her, she is just a mean spirited bitch who liked to play games and she was raised as a brat of the streets.
The only thing great about this story was the narrator.
