Historia
It's been over a decade since Nora left her hometown of Scupper Island, Maine, and very seldom looked back. She's carved out a successful life in Boston, where no one knows her as the awkward girl with the delinquent sister and the dad who left, but a not-as-dramatic-as-it-sounds brush with death has her taking stock of her life. Inspired to reconnect with her prickly mother and snarky teenage niece, Nora returns home for the summer, where she's forced to face the people she's spent the last ten years trying to avoid.

Beautiful and Beastly
Revisado: 04-24-25
I love the characters in this book. They were interesting, multi dimensional and colorful. However, I will probably not read it again because it is so painful for so long. It felt like we got 3/4 of the way through the book before we switched from suffering to resolution and the happy ending that I always wish for. Loved the narration!

A kid walks into your bookstore and says to you, Guess what? I'm your son. The one you put up for adoption seventeen years ago. The one you never told anyone about. Surprise! His name is Matthew Walker, and he's come to spend the summer on the Cape with his parents. Why? Well, he wants to meet you before he heads off to college in the fall. Tiny detail—he didn't tell his adoptive parents about his plan. And while you hoped this day would come someday, you're so stunned, you actually faint.

Unique presentation!
Revisado: 04-24-25
This book is interesting, sweet and unique. The way it’s presented from three different points of view makes it very interesting. I really enjoyed going on each characters journey, and I really loved the fact that at the end of the book everything was put right.. I will read this one again!

What happened?
Revisado: 04-24-25
The thing I love most about reading Robyn Carr is the familiar community that goes from book to book. Unfortunately, in this series, some of the women seem to just drop out of sight. One woman married a man with children and they bought a new house. In the next book that Man was living in his original house with no woman. Another, more mature man had a really interesting relationship with a woman in one book and in the next book, he’s there but there’s no mention of her. Overall, this series feels like something that might have been written in the beginning of the author‘s career, and the other series might have been where her writing became more polished. I probably won’t read the rest of the books. Which is disappointing because I really love both the author and Terese Plumber who reads them beautifully.

Fun and sweet
Revisado: 09-30-24
As usual, Robyn Carr gives us warm sweet communities and interesting personalities. The story was fun and interesting. And of course things always turn out exactly as they should. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Patriotic, personal, inspiring
Revisado: 04-18-24
This is a story of a true patriot of the kind of character that we all aspire to. Every American should read this story to get a clear understanding of what has happened and what could happen. There could not be a more credible source for this story, and hearing her tell it in her own voice, makes it all the more powerful. I will certainly read this story a second time.

Inspiring patriotism
Revisado: 03-18-24
This is not a Partisan effort .Liz Cheney has shown true patriotism, with her actions in Congress, the January 6 commission, and in writing this book. She sets the record straight on a complicated subject, and leaves no doubt about the value and the meaning of country before party. Every voter from every party should read this book.

Love the setting
Revisado: 03-12-24
Another great love/adventure story in the perfect setting of Virgin River with its natural beauty, it’s sweet small community, and
the cast of nearly perfect characters. This was not my first time reading this book, and it won’t be my last.

Historia
Lilly Yazhi knows all she needs to know about Clay Tahoma. Sure, he’s got a certain appeal befitting his Navajo roots, but she’s not falling for Clay’s silent, “earthy” attractiveness. She certainly won’t make the same mistake as Clay’s ex-wife. Only trouble is, her heart and mind have committed to different resolves.

Can’t get enough of Virgin River
Revisado: 10-17-23
Love this story. Was fascinated with the subject of Hope’s house. Hoping to see who ends up there in the next book. A bit disappointed in Therese Plummer. Her acting skills are terrific. However, she does not take the time clarify her understanding of unfamiliar words and miss pronounces, quite often such as Pitocin,(in the last book) soot and dressage in this one.

Great story, great narrator!
Revisado: 07-21-23
This is my third time reading this book over the course of the last 10 years! Grisham is the best. Colorful characters, great verbal interactions, descriptive details that bring the scene to life. Add to that a very satisfying outcome, and you have everything that makes a great novel. I highly recommend it.
