After spending 30 years of my life as a Respiratory Therapist I felt a kinship to the author. His tales are hilarious and can’t be scripted. The tragedies are real and can never be forgotten. Personally, I suffer from PTSD from working trauma for so long. I get it, I also quit and never looked back. We are all responsible for creating change. This author did an excellent job for broader discussion.

I could not put this down!

Brutal, frustrating, and unbelievable. Hard to understand the mindset of victims, but what happens behind closed doors creates such psychological impacts that behaviors of victims survival depends on becoming compliant. My prayers go out to those poor girls and those who were murdered. That husband got off with a slap on the wrist. No one is that stupid.

This book should be required reading in all American schools. People desperately need the perspective of what millions experience everyday. The will to survive by the young woman is mind blowing and is beyond inspirational.
