Perhaps the best yet in the series. Great use of landscape, sea states, and the qualities of the ships, with characters developing and maturing. Keep up the good work!!

And as our hero matures and his propensity for undermining his own progress abates, the stories are similarly growing even more enjoyable!

Great perspectives

Refreshing takes on shipboard life, but the narrator is sorely in need of a pronunciation guide for nautical terms, French, and even some English vocabulary. Wow how did these gaffes make it past the editing?

Historia
Returning to the territory he so brilliantly explored in his masterful New York Times best seller American Gods, the incomparable Neil Gaiman offers up a work of dazzling ingenuity, a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth that is at once startling, terrifying, exhilarating, and fiercely funny, a true wonder of a novel that confirms Stephen King's glowing assessment of the author as "a treasure house of story, and we are lucky to have him."

Great performance!
Revisado: 11-07-24
Classic Gaiman — a great book, fantastic tale! But the performance is great too, which makes it an awesome listen! The accents, dialogue, acting and emotion really bring this work to life. Kudos to Lenny Henry for some strong work as narrator, I’d listen to him read the phone book, I think!
