This collection of four books follows four siblings raised as cousins by the warriors who adopted and protected them. The "adults" have brief appearances, but this is primarily the younger generation, getting in touch with tbeir roots, and learning more, first hand, about the world they left behind.

I loved how each of them felt strongly connected to Earth, their new world, yet gained an appreviation for, and connection to both the land of their birth and the people/beings of that world.

Much of Dean and Rebecca's romance is out of a tv-movie... with a dash of bear shifting and clan politics on the side to keep it interesting, and in their world real.

Part of what makes this story so engaging is how relatable the misunderstandings and conflicts are, with Dean committed to his clan and community as well as his friends and family, and Rebecca struggling with understanding that hierarchy and its role in a family's life when they already have enough responsibilities and pressures to handle.

Add in teenagers testing boundaries and other clans pushing buttons for fun and this was a "page turner" I didn't want to put down... the Audible edition is read by an engaging narrator who does a really nice job of bringing these pages to life.

"James Thompson wasn’t much of a talker, so if he did open his mouth, the others would listen. But would they understand?"

It's a toss up which Pax notices first, Carrie, or the woodwork in her home, but either way, his eye has been caught and he's interested in spending more time with them.

Carrie is establishing a new business in a tight knit community, that's hard enough, but the self-doubt her ex-husband planted in her mind is egged on at the most unfortunate times by misunderstandings, and some good old fashioned local secrets.

This done in one story was incredibly satisfying, containing more story/plot and character moments than I expected, all well paced.

So often stories about trust issues focus on trusting others, and there is some of that here, but add in the self-doubt / struggling to trust yourself at times and the story gets really interesting.

Finn's life is turned upside down, then Aurora appears in his life -- one can only hope she'll turn his life right side up again.

Aurora is a nature loving outsider who doesn't fit in with most of the college students, but that doesn't bother her. She's determined to save the world... her world, Earth, the beauty she knows and sees. Even when naive young men come along convinced they work for the good guys.

This done in one story is full of heart, in all the best ways, with a dash of magic that keeps the characters and readers on their toes. Balancing safety with honesty, adding in some fear of the unknown, this story had some very relatable moments in extraordinary situations.

I really enjoyed Cecilia, a local who I hope shows up in future stories, as she has what it takes to fit in with these Dragons and their friends... perhaps even Varhan?.

This is one heck of a ride. Maura and Curtis are both familiar characters, but here they take center stage and we truly discover if they are meant to be together, no matter what.

I loved this story, the humor, the strength of both of these characters, the way they kept their wits about them as they dealt with changing circumstances, and in the ultimate showdown how each faced what truly mattered to them, and the hard decisions.

Jennifer is living paycheck to paycheck, surviving a perfectly ordinary life until the night she encounters Rory MacGregor and strange things start happening.

Rory is determined to survive whatever is happening with Jennifer if for no other reason than he may have found hope that there is someone out there for him, and now that he's seen her he wants to find his way to happily ever after.

This done in one MacGregor Warlock book is a bit more serious than most in the series, though it does have plenty of laugh out loud moments... what sets it apart is aspects of the ending. Rory is prepared to do whatever it takes, but may be surprised to understand what truly saved the day.

Kenneth and Jewel were introduced in the previous story, and here they move center stage... and Jewel continues to steal hearts as Kenneth faces the struggles of a single Dad raising a powerful magickal child.

Andrea has spent the past two years running from... she thought she knew what, but now she's starting to question all kinds of things, including the spirit she thought was chasing her.

The Warlocks MacGregor are always fun and full of humor, and this is a prime example of this family offering a laugh out loud adventure as they deal with serious issues, like a child with a terminal condition... unless they find a way to help her, and they are doing everything in their power, everything they can think of, to help her -- just as every ordinary family would.

The first time Chase and Jenna meet there's something special in the air, but a little miscommunication leads each to believe they've been friendzoned... and they make incredible friends providing them a chance to truly get to know one another before realizing they could be so much more together than what they are now.

This book is hilarious.

Cora is looking for a way to break free of the crazy that has recently taken hold of her life and return to normal... encountering the MacGregors isn't likely to help.

Euann sees something special in Cora right from the beginning, but convincing her it's real may be the challenge.

This done in one story has a fabulous sense of humor, it does a nice job of exploring how the MacGregors fit in with the community, Uncle Raibert is priceless as always, and some serious issues are dealt with amid the humor, namely a parent's love, and the challenges time apart can present to families.

Loved the performance as much as the story!

Tyler rushes in to Liz's life, needing her midwife skills and help, never imagining the events her kind heart and willingness to help others would set in motion.

This done in one story embraces independence and self-reliance, but comes with a reminder not only that there is strength in numbers, but others can see things we can't, and can help us see things in another way.

I love the theme of healing in this story, and was intrigued by the use of Reiki.
