Was like reading 3 books at the same time. Found my self checking to see how much time remained before it was over. Never really cared for any of the characters or their issues.

It was like reading an instruction manual. It was very descriptive but shallow on character development.

Not much of a story if everything goes as planned. Author needs to research how we get milk from cows.... dry cows have to have a calf in order to begin giving milk.

Historia
When people started getting sick, they thought it was just the flu. My roommate, my boyfriend, my family ...they're all gone now. I got sick too. I should have died with them-with the rest of the world-but I didn't. I thought witnessing the human population almost disappear off the face of the earth was the craziest thing I'd ever experience. I was so wrong. My name is Dani O'Connor, I'm twenty-six-years-old, and I survived the ending.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Storyline premise is different from the run of the mill murder mystery, when you can't actually murder anyone. Interesting characters and not overly predictable.

Historia
When truth doesn’t make sense, will lies prevail? Cathy Cramer is a former lawyer and investigative blogger who writes commentary on high-profile homicides. When she finds a threatening note warning her that she’s about to experience the same kind of judgment and speculation that she dishes out in her blog, Cathy writes it off as mischief...until her brother’s wife is murdered and all the “facts” point to him. The killer has staged the crime to make the truth too far-fetched to believe.

Any additional comments?
I bought this book as part of an Audible.com 'First Book of the Series" sale. My mistake was that I didn't open each selection as I put it in my cart. While the original promotional blurb made the book sound more like a murder mystery, it was actually a religious romance. A fact I would have realized if I had clicked into the book for a more in depth perusal. There was a murder, but the villain was easy to identify from the start, so no mystery. The characters personalities were black and white and wallowed in melodrama. One line that made me think to myself did she really write that was "She appeared too classy to be there for a DUI." Really? Obviously only shabby and disreputable people get DUIs.
Another point in the book, the character Juliet, says "I may be late, I want to see Juliet and Holly..." I listened repeatedly to this to be sure I'd just heard the character say she had to meet herself. I don't have this book in written form, so I don't know if this was how the actual book was published. But I do think the narrator should have caught it and fixed it regardless of what was on the written page. As for the narrator. She was pretty good with female and child voices, but her male voices were terrible. At one point I had to rewind a portion because I was confused as to why a sister was saying what she said, then I realized it was the brother, not the sister.
Overall, if you like sappy love stories... I don't. Or will enjoy anything promoting a very Evangelical Christian viewpoint, which again I don't, then you may like the book. I did not.
