Stunning

Scorching story about the Fauci, Gates, Pharma, Media cartel going back 30 years to the beginning of the AIDS crisis. The level of greed and corruption are stunning. Written by a lifelong activist liberal democrat lawyer from the most famous liberal democrat family in the country. If this book is given any national media coverage, Fauci and Gates are done. Sadly, big Pharma's massive advertising dollars have tight control over the networks.

Less about the early racing days. More about the flying days.
What does Edward Herrmann bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Herrmann is a great narrator.
Was Enduring Courage worth the listening time?
Yes, but the first 2/3 drags a bit with details of Eddie's early days as a car racer. The last third is great.

This is a great explanation of the financial meltdown as seen through the eyes of a few who saw it coming. The story is absolutely fascinating and not boring at all. One glaring omission was the role that the government played in creating the mess. Not sure if it was intentional or not.

If you're a Bush / Cheney basher, you'll like this book. If not, you'll be frustrated. Suskind's hindsight is great, but he makes no effort to acknowledge that the people
dealing with the crisis in real time had no such luxury. He doesn't bother to mention the creation of the dept. of Homeland Security or that it was created to address many of the concerns that he whines about. He drives home the point that no WMD were found in Iraq, but leaves out the fact that Saddam claimed to have them, had used them in the past, and ran the UN inspectors out of the country presumably to conceal them.

I listened on the way to work, on the way home, and in the garage. The story, the writing, and the narration, are astounding. After finishing the book, I continued to read about Louis Zamperini on line. I still have not gotten enough.
