Historia
At only 32, Bishop Stockley has lived a hard-knock life. After doing five years in a federal prison, Bishop is back at his dad's trailer and working for his landscaping company, thrust into a legit world where he's no longer the alpha - a world where a criminal record is the least of his disadvantages, because Bishop can't read or write. Bishop already had the deck stacked against him, but he wasn't afraid of hard work to change his situation. Especially after he encountered Edison Scala, a kind-spirited office manager who didn't hesitate to come to his defense...

You did it again A.E. Via
Revisado: 05-29-23
This book is a lot more complex than the title description gave. This book focuses on romance with a little bit of spicy scene (if you know what I mean). Not cringy romance, but realistic romance that follows a beautiful relationship between an illiterate ex-gang leader and a big shot lawyer with self-esteem issues. I was highly ecstatic to have a buff/ripped and plus size characters fall in love. So I thank A.E. Via for giving love representation to all sizes out there. This is my second book I have ever read from A.E. Via and I love her unique characters/ stories.
The Narrator Tor Thom, did a fantastic job!! He was able to bring all the characters to life so well, I had to listen to this audiobook all the way through. I cannot wait to listen to more of his books in the future.
Overall: DEFINITELY give his a book a listen. The slow burn romance, the communication between the characters, the character development!! All chef's kiss.

Honestly, At first glance I was hesitant about this book, but seeing the Narrator reading the book (Michael Ferraiuolo) I took a leap of faith. The book is well written, and the plot is a bit predictable. Yet, the character's charms made the book stand out to me overall. I loved the comedic scenes, and the slow-burn romance without the book loosing its original plot.
Michael!!! He is one of my favorite Narrator's on audible. He has yet to dissapoint, he brings the characters to life. I would loved to have heard some more emotion when the characters were supposed to be yelling, but other than that narration is phenomenal!!

Brooks - I’ve been coming to this little café every weekday for the past month, and everyday the same guy, Noah, takes my order. He always flirts with me, talks to me, and makes me feel like a million bucks. The problem? He’s in his mid-twenties, which is a baby compared to my 45 years. The first time he winked at and flirted with me, I thought he was making fun of me. I may have cussed him out. Okay, I did. But just a little. But, to my surprise, he just laughed and told me I was cute when I was grumpy.

Going in my best stories list
Revisado: 09-13-22
Jayda Marx is known for their fast love and low angst stories. BUT this one is perfect. The character and relationship development, the characters problems, EVERYTHING.
Plus let's give it out to the narrator Nick Hudson for not only doing a FANTASTIC job, but for creating his own special spin in the book that literally brought me to tears. They did great, so awesome I even had to go back to relisten. HIGHLY recommend this. GET. IT. NOW

Confused Overall
Revisado: 06-30-22
I cannot tell you what this book was about, I couldn't tell much of anything. Due to the narration performance, I was confused when the scene changed, if the characters were talking about the past, etc. Ron has a nice voice, but its so monotone it just ruined the book. Ron needs to work on his expressive tones and character voices.
Yet, I bought the book and couldn't return it, So I just suffered throught it. I couldn't even tell you the majority of the plot and when I thought I could the ending was confusing. But hey the characters got together I guess.
AND NO you dont need this book for the series. I thought I did and just ended up wasting money.
I'm not rating the story due to the narration.

Listen to the book at 1.25x (extra speed)
Revisado: 06-19-22
I agree with the other reviews. This narrator reads slow. So I HIGHLY recommend speeding up the story to 1.25x. He sounds normal here.
Narrator: Again reads slow and I feel like he could improve on his character distinction voices. He is reading the book, but not immersing the listeners like other narrators on Audible.
Story: There were times I was confused by the massive inner ranting or fast change of subjects, that I would forget what was happening in the book. I was confused a lot, which is disappointing cause the story had such huge potential!!! Overall a 3.5

Sometimes salvation comes from the most unlikely hero. When Tate Gillespie is marked for death for a crime he didn’t commit, his life crumbles. In a world where "justice" is meted out by a relentless military force, he’s going to need more than a mythical guardian angel. His life down to seconds, he’s saved by the mysterious X, a knife-wielding man he's never even met before. But who is X? Is he the man who threatens and kills without a second thought? Or the strangely gentle man who only seems to act that way around Tate?

Adventures, Funny, Romantic, Action!!
Revisado: 02-28-22
This is my first book by H.L Day, and I have to say that this book gives me high expectations for this other books!! Ohh I just loved how his writing immersed the readers into the settings. This book pace is just right, not to fast or too slow. It follows two main characters after a postwar world, where even the smallest of criminal act will have you end up on the wrong side of a laser gun.
X who is from the slums, has taking a liking to Tate. X is a knife-weilding assassin who dedicates his life to making sure Tate is happy and healthy. X will do anything to ensure the safety of Tate after a horrible set up has Tate running for his life.
Tate is your normal everyday office man, who came up with the running joke that he has a guardian angel. After his parents passed, Tate has just wanted someone to love and to fulfill his needs, but after multiple failed relationships Tate has found a new boyfriend with a 2 month strong relationship
He believes everything in his life is going ok, not too bad not too great but ok. Then everything is stopped when he is framed, now he must survive with this mysterious man named X who resuced him out of nowhere. What is going to happen now? Its either die or find a new home.
Narrator Anderson Richards literally is the best!! He this whole book come together perfectly. From the awesome sound effects to the emotional being of each character!! I have literally no idea how he is not talked about for his narrations, BUT HE MUST BE!! From now if you see a book narrated by him GET IT!! With both the storyline and narration this book has become one of my favorite and I fr have listened to it 6 times already!! It never gets old!

Historia
For over 300 years, I’ve waited for fate to deliver my soul mate; the person I’d love for the rest of my life; the one I was destined to protect, to treasure and to cherish. The one to complete me. I never expected to find him dancing like an angel in my nightclub. The moment my eyes gazed upon his beauty, my heart was gone. The most mesmerizing thing about him were his eyes; he had the biggest, roundest doe eyes I’d ever seen. They were an enchanting shade of blue; the exact color of the Mediterranean Sea. When I looked into those eyes, I was home.

Different
Revisado: 02-18-22
I loved this book by Jayda Marx. Jayda Marx is known for her fast-pasted stories, speedy romanaces, and comedic relief. This story following Danté and Ben is more detailed than her other stories, making it one of my new favorite series by her. The book balances well with the comedy and the more serious topics. Story Plot is 4/5 stars for me. I would listen to again.
Narrator Eddie Herrera, SIR, yes sir!! I loved his performance. He had me immersed in the story. I have no idea how he could play so many characters so well, giving them all their original personalities, voices, and life-like quality. I was shocked thinking all these characters were voiced by the same person! I need more stories by him. He narrates extremely well. Definitely up their as one of my favorite Narrators. Performance is 5/5 for me.
Overall Performance and Story Plot: 4.5/5

They've worked with each other for two years, and even though Chevy might secretly find his partner charming and attractive, playful harassment is all they have. Chevy was born with a unique gift that allows him to go into the memories of others. As detective, he uses this ability to find peace for victims who have been hurt or attacked. But neither Chevy nor Seneca are prepared when they are asked to go into the mind of a serial killer in hopes of finding survivors.

Mind was blown away
Revisado: 10-22-21
Ok, now this book blew my mind away. Just like the characters, my mind was probed and I felt like I was spiraling out of my mind. Though the book itself is hard to describe without spoiling it, I honestly recommend you listen to this. Alice Winter(I love this author) paints the world so clearly that even though the character are experiencing chaos, it is clear the the listener/reader what is going on. Get it. It is worth the purchase.
Joel Leslie (Love his narrations) honestly where can you go wrong with him? He brings the character to life. Tells the story well and at a great pace. He makes sure the readers have a grasp on what's happening.

Would relisten to again
Revisado: 06-11-21
Overall I loved this series. The book is well written, and legit questions that popped in my head (thinking about the characters situations) as the book went on were answered~ I love the concept that Mage's live longer than wolves, and that it the characters face their problems instead of letting them linger. My only problems are that book 3 is not on audible yet (or even out as of this review), and that I wanted the book to last longer. Honestly, this series was a fun read and it the book moved at a great speed.
The narration was great loved that I felt the emotions and thoughts of each character. Really pulled me in, like I was there in the book as the events were going on.
