Historia
On the Cold Valley Indian Reservation, in the shadow of Pale Peak, Onwe Lopez struggles with the past as much as the present. By day, he watches his people abandon the Old Way as they flock to the local church. By night, he dreams of his childhood friend Akántha, who vanished from the rez decades prior. Then, catastrophe strikes: a horrific accident brings a stranger to town with stories of unfathomable death. A ghastly figure wanders the night, peering into houses and terrorizing a tribal elder. Hideous whispers emanate from the nearby caves, beckoning Onwe inside.

What a gem
Revisado: 08-22-24
Holy cow, this is amazing. I read Stolen Tongues after reading the NoSleep story, and decided to give this a shot after that. This story is worth every penny. What an amazing continuation of that whole universe!

Historia
High up on the windswept cliffs of Pale Peak, Faye and Felix celebrate their new engagement. But soon, a chorus of ghastly noises erupts from the nearby woods: the screams of animals, the cries of children, and the mad babble of a hundred mournful voices. A dark figure looms near the windows in the dead of night, whispering to Faye. As the weather turns deadly, Felix discovers that his terrified fiancée isn't just mumbling in her sleep—she's whispering back.

What a gem

Great story. People hark on it for not being written in a literary genius style, but who cares? Great concept for a story, and much improved from the original no sleep story.

Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

It's alright
Revisado: 01-24-23
It's not a bad read. It's really cool to hear Butcher read. James is a great reader, but things are up to his interpretation a lot of the time. Jim is the author, and his interpretation paints a more complete picture of some of the characters. But it feels like this is just something to keep fans quiet while Butcher pursues his other interests. It just overall feels like Butcher is running out of interest in this series.
If you have an extra token, it's worth a listen. I wouldn't buy it for full price though.
