Not worth the read
Revisado: 03-22-21
First half is about the War not the discovery as title suggests.
Tons of irrelevant data unrelated to topic of discovery of chemotherapy.
About 25% of book on topic.
Writing overly melodramatic.

Historia
The conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians is technically 69 years old and counting but has its roots in over 2,000 years of history. With so much time and history, the Middle East peace process has become laden with unique, politically sensitive concepts like the right of return, contiguous borders, secure borders, demilitarized zones, and security requirements, with players like the Quartet, Palestinian Authority, Fatah, Hamas, the Arab League, and Israel.

Not Accurate, Not About the Mossad - gloss
Revisado: 10-16-20
I do not generally write reviews but feel compelled.
This is a topic about which I am fairly well versed and the author misses the mark entirely. There is very, very little about the Mossad and more about Israeli history in general. The author glosses over key facts and is incorrect on a number of key points.
There is a great deal of interest regarding the genesis, development and activities of the Mossad, but this book contains almost none of it.
This is made worse by the narrator's mispronunciation of so many key words and phrases that it makes it almost painful to listen to this audio book.
There are a great many other books that address the history of the Mossad and Israeli history - this one should not be read.
It is, at best, a gloss of a few key events with references to Mossad's involvement in those limited events and at worst it is simply confusing and factually incorrect.

Historia
The Jewish Audio Bible is a masterful delivery of the Kol Menachem Chumash (Gutnick Edition) - a much loved, best-selling translation of the Five Books of Moses, with readings from the Prophets (Haftarah cycle). The Jewish Audio Bible skillfully weaves classic Rabbinic interpretations into the translation, offering a timeless perception of the sacred text's multiple layers.

Editorial comments
Revisado: 10-10-19
I was looking for just the text but there are editorial comments from a particular perspective which I found unwanted and distracting
I stopped listening very quickly and found a different version with (I hope) just the text

Historia
In 1922, Count Alexander Rostov is deemed an unrepentant aristocrat by a Bolshevik tribunal, and is sentenced to house arrest in the Metropol, a grand hotel across the street from the Kremlin. Rostov, an indomitable man of erudition and wit, has never worked a day in his life, and must now live in an attic room while some of the most tumultuous decades in Russian history are unfolding outside the hotel’s doors. Unexpectedly, his reduced circumstances provide him entry into a much larger world of emotional discovery.

Amazing and moving
Revisado: 06-08-19
I don’t normally write reviews but had to about this book.
I generally don’t read novels - history is more my taste.
But this book really moved me. The exploration of relationships quite literally brought tears to my eyes as I saw similarities to my own life. The picture painted of life after the revolution in Russia from a perspective I’ve not seen before was wonderful.
But it was the relationships that the main character had that really did it for me.
I enjoyed it so much that I listened a second time immediately after finishing it, something I’ve never done before.
The narrator was very good as well.
Great book which I can recommend without any hesitation.
