Historia
Today's view of history cannot account for ancient anomalies, such as the Pyramids and advanced knowledge contained in India's Vedas. But in 1894, an Indian sage gave us an explanation not only for our hidden past but for the trends of today and for our future enlightenment - the 24,000-year yuga cycle.

Felt manipulated
Revisado: 10-20-24
I love the little book by Swami Sri Yukteswar.
I felt the author was believing in his theory to the extend, he was willing to mend information so it would fit his theory. Great danger! I can see he was innocent, he just loves his theory so much. And people who are not historians would just receive his view in amazement how much the author knows! But I felt sad especially when he was describing Kali Yuga as he portraid some people and events in a false way.
For example, just to pick this simple one, where he is trying to make his point how books were not valued in that era, that Alexander the Great burned a library because of lack of respect and desire to get rid of a source of knowledge, but we know from history books that it was an accident, which he felt greatly ashamed of and bad about. Alexander the Great’s intention was not to burn library, this shows him in a really bad light. So energetically this tiny piece of information makes a difference, doesn’t it? And there are many events like this, about big names in history, lacking resources, oh, I am in wonder that Swami Kriyananda would write the foreword.
Anyway, I felt manipulated. The future yugas and how he describes them is always with ‘perhaps’, of course, but here also he goes too far for me. Energetically I am not on his page with him.

Story of love
Revisado: 06-17-24
First I wasn’t sure if to buy the book and read it or listen to Narayani’s voice as she is not a native I wasn’t sure if it wouldn’t distract me. But as she herself shares many times in her story, it is about the vibration nor the words and I really felt every vibrating atom of her story. At the end there is a lovely music surprise, so I was happy to have chosen the audio. Swami, oh, Swami, your love is a sweet precious gift. 🫶❤️🙏🌹

Didn’t like it
Revisado: 03-01-24
I purchased this book because of the reviews and it seemed as very popular book on rediscovering your inner artist. I must admit right from the beginning I felt I am pushing myself in listening just for the sake of purchasing it. The tone in which this is written sounds arrogant to me. I am a bit fed up on her praising of herself how well she did writing this. So far I didnt find any helpful information. It is full of what you must do! So many things you must change, and you must wake up and write pages and pages and did you write those pages? They are going to change your life! And pages…oh, can I just turn this off? Oh, I can. And silence was the richest artist canvas there could be.

Historia
The author Sri "M" is an extraordinary individual. His uniqueness lies not only in the fact that at the young age of 19 and a half, he travelled to snow-clad Himalayas from Kerala, and there he met and lived for several years with a "real-time" yogi, Babaji, but also that he should undertake such an unusual and adventurous exploration, given his non-Hindu birth and antecedents. The metamorphosis of Mumtaz Ali Khan into Sri "M", a yogi with profound knowledge of the Upanishads and deep personal insights, is born of first-hand experiences with higher levels of consciousness....

Didn’t find much wisdom
Revisado: 02-26-24
I was waiting and waiting to feel some wisdom. This is a story of a person whose ego seems to be pleased to be on a quest to reach something deeper yet wjat I am experiencimg are just words and words and more words from all these guru’s he meets. I was hoping to find some Babaji Krishna wisdom in it, but this was not the Babaji wisdom I was seeking. It seems there are many Babaji gurus in India.
I have 4 hours left and am sorry but I will rather now go back to a real wisdom of Paramhansa Yogananda and perhaos purchase 'The Voice of Babaji” book.
