Historia
Returning to the "Aunt Hill" from a two-year trip around the world, 20-year-old Rose Campbell suddenly finds herself surrounded by male admirers, all expecting her to marry them! Rose is rich and pretty, and she suspects many of these suitors are more interested in her wealth than her dreams. Historia
World War I has ended, and the five All-of-a-Kind girls are growing up! The oldest, Ella, is a young lady with dreams of singing and dancing in the theater. But she also thinks of Jules, who is returning from the war, so marriage is in the air, as well. Suddenly, however, Ella is discovered by a Broadway talent scout, and it seems that she will have her chance at a theatrical career after all. Will Ella choose Jules or vaudeville? Here is another charming tale of the warm, caring family that fans have loved for years!

Historia
Sydney Taylor grew up among immigrant families on New York City's Lower East Side prior to World War I and wrote the All-of-a-Kind Family series for her daughter. This sequel finds talented Ella, mischievous Henny, studious Sarah, dreamy Charlotte, and little Gertie helping Mama with their new baby brother, Charlie. Sydney Taylor's charming books capture the everyday life of a home with little money but lots of love and good times to share.

Absolutely horrible narration
Revisado: 08-11-22
I love this book, but it was almost impossible to listen too. Some of the narration was so quiet we could barely hear it when the volume was cranked up and some of it was so loud and high pitched it hurt our ears. It wasn’t even just parts of the book that did this— but rather the entire book. The children’s dialogue was so loud and the narration super quiet. When anything serious happened the adults would whisper and you’d have to turn up the volume and go back to figure out what happened. So disappointed as this is one of my most favorite books from childhood and I was delighted at the prospect of listening to it with my daughter. I wish I could return it.
