Historia
In a life of extraordinary drama, Jane Boleyn was catapulted from relative obscurity to the inner circle of King Henry VIII. As powerful men and women around her became victims of Henry's ruthless and absolute power - including her own husband and sister-in-law Queen Anne Boleyn - Jane's allegiance to the volatile monarchy was sustained and rewarded. the narration for this book I really enjoyed. in fact this book really surprised me, the first half it seemed to me was more Henry and Ann with just a little of Jane here and there. but the rest of the book wow. what was this women thinking? and of course Henry marrying a teenager talk about a dirty old man.and Jane, oh my God. talk about using very bad judgment, well she got what she deserved in the end. in some ways I feel sorry for Catherine but she isn't totally innocent either. over all it is a good book and I did learn a few things.don't believe what you see on TV about the Tudor history, read the book first, the TV is just entertainment.

Historia
This magnificent biography of Henry VIII is set against the cultural, social and political background of his court - the most spectacular court ever seen in England - and the splendour of his many sumptuous palaces. An entertaining narrative packed with colourful description and a wealth of anecdotal evidence, but also a comprehensive analytical study of the development of both monarch and court during a crucial period in English history.

Henry 8
Revisado: 08-20-19
I enjoyed the narrative. their were times when I found the book boring at the beginning. I didn't see the point of having to be told how much money Henry spent or any of the other courtiers or the French king. I felt it went to far and to much. Henry himself is very interesting. I learned a few things about him that I didn't know. the more you get into the book the more interesting it gets.

Historia
Here is the tragic, stormy life of Mary Tudor, daughter of Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon. Her story is a chronicle of courage and faith, betrayal and treachery - set amidst the splendor, pageantry, squalor, and intrigue of 16th-century Europe. The history of Mary Tudor is an improbable blend of triumph, humiliation, heartbreak, and devotion - and Ms. Erickson recounts it all against the turbulent background of European politics, war, and religious strife of the mid-1500s.

Mary Tudor
Revisado: 03-10-19
I loved this book. learned a few things I didn't know. I feel this book was very well written. I love English history especially about the Tudors you have to like and hate Mary. her having all those people burned just because they were Protestant just makes you so mad. unfortunately it was the time people lived in but sad. her marrying Phillip was happy for her as she really loved him. but him treating her like he did or I should say using her once he fell out of love and became king of Flanders and the Netherlands, you have to feel sorry for her. however no matter she is still bloody Mary.
