Historia
Two days before Christmas 1996, the broken, battered body of Sophie Toscan du Plantier was found outside her vacation home in West Cork, a serene region on Ireland’s idyllic southern coast. Decades later, no one has been charged with the murder, but the aggrieved inhabitants of West Cork are convinced they know who did it - and he still lives among them.

Format distracts
Revisado: 06-04-18
Unfortunately, the podcast format detracts from the story and performances. The insertion of credits at the end of each chapter is annoying and redundant. This is not a "book" in the sense that we anticipate. While other true books are greatly enhanced by the quality of a narrator with dramatic training, this is something different: a performance of a radio drama, and there should be a different classification for this type of production. It should be clearly distinguished from the traditional audiobook that is based on something that fundamentally and foremost starts out in actual print .

Historia
In a strange room in Morocco, Mary Russell is trying to solve a pressing mystery: Who am I? She has awakened with shadows in her mind, blood on her hands, and soldiers pounding on the door. Out in the hivelike streets, she discovers herself strangely adept in the skills of the underworld, escaping through alleys and rooftops, picking pockets and locks. She is clothed like a man, and armed only with her wits and a scrap of paper containing a mysterious Arabic phrase. Overhead, warplanes pass ominously north.

why a second narrator?
Revisado: 01-12-13
I've enjoyed each book of this series but am puzzled about why a male narrator has been added. I haven't finished listening, but so far I find it hard to distinguish the voices of the characters he narrates. This is confusing and does nothing to enhance the story.

Historia
Alexander's Bridge was Willa Cather's first novel and one of her best. Bartley Alexander was the world's leading bridge builder, something that was considered an awesome skill in the early 20th century. Alexander has the strength and regret that weave throughout Cather's male characters much as they do through those of her contemporary authors, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Dreiser, Anderson, Lewis, and others.

I may not be able to finish listening to this.
Revisado: 05-08-11
I've barely started it and am extremely discouraged. I can't appreciate the book because it is so poorly read. For 20 years or more, I've been listening to recorded books read by amazing readers. My expectations are reasonable, but this is the worst reading I've ever encountered.
