How inconvenient is it for a black person in America to point out how UN-oppressed they are.
Candace never misses the mark and I am proud to hear the wisdom God has gifted her with. She is a shining example of the FACT that black people are just as capable of lifting themselves out of bad situations as any other color.
And the majority of the racism that exists today is from blacks towards other colors.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Dinesh do his own narrating.
Dinesh D'Souza is a very intelligent, Patriotic American. More American that many who are natural born citizens.
He is SPOT ON in regards to the things he writes and I cannot wait to listen to the next.

I got this book because I was wondering if our POTUS was fulfilling his promises. Whether his word was any good.
Not one president in my life of over half a century has kept his campaign promises and their PRE-presidential days are found to be full of deceit and lies.
I am here for the first time, seeing Promises made and promises KEPT. Here's to a second term. MAGA 2020
GREAT BOOK...JUST GREAT.

This book was a very entertaining read/listen.
Initially, I was not a fan of the author as she created a whiny victim of the main character of the novel. That annoys me but it is a perception issue I think, more than her doing a bad job.
As the book went along I became more appreciative of her skills. Some of her narration was annoying "to me" all throughout the novel but definitely not enough to stop reading.
She did a wonderful job of giving her all to the characters and I give her respect for that.
The storyline was terrific, if a bit graphic, so if you are sensitive to rape and extremely graphic violence, I give you plenty warning. The author does not go overboard but gives details you might actually get from a real-life crime.
I have enjoyed all Karin Slaughter novels and this was no slouch to her collection of well written, entertaining books.
I recommend it to mature, mentally stable people but if you are in therapy for PTSD or rape/violence you may want to head over to Danielle Steele for a gander. This one may be a little intense for you right now.
God Bless...

I really enjoyed this story. I started it while going to bed one evening and it started off so intense I almost had to turn it off!
As the story went along an annoying little thing started to show itself. The Narrator has a habit of really missing the Que for emotion and seemed to always lack in feeling or emotion or simply miss the mark where she needed to actually show emotion. Her characters seemed to whine a lot and she would have them whispering but read "screaming".
It took a while to be able to ignore the missed emotions with her narration but I tried hard because it was such a great story.
It kept me coming back until the book was over and now I must decide if I can tolerate this narrator enough to listen to book two.
Overall, this was very much worth the time and I enjoyed the book immensely. I definitely recommend this novel but you might not want to start it when you go to bed. 😬

Excellently narrated and entertaining. Definitely worth a listen if you liked the movies.
The Ripley character even had me fooled. I thought it was Weaver until the end.
Having Ash doing his check-ins was a little corny but that was understandable considering it was an audiobook and it needed to have the stage set so to speak.
The characters were very good at their jobs. When they needed to yell, you could tell they put their all into it. I liked that there was no holding back.
The storyline was done well enough that I wasn't left disappointed at the differences between the movie and the story.
All in all, I will say that it was worth the listen. Great entertainment.

I always enjoy Nora Roberts books. The storyline usually consistsnof characters that are easy to follow and either likeable or downright not. This one did not disappoint as usual.
However, the narrator left a lot to be desired and came a little close to ruining it. Sometimes I wonder if the people narrating read the book before they narrate because they lilt the words awkwardly for the scenes or use terrible "voices" for the opposite sex characters. This one in particular was prett bad about doing that. She had a terrible man voice, made the victim sound handicapped and pathetic, made the main love interest sound like some hick instead of the hunk he was intended to sound like. She was all over the place, the men all had the exact same voice so it was hard to tell who was speaking at times and she seemed to have no clue what the story line was going to be or understood her characters before she started narrating.
This wasnactually very disappointing to me and at times it was difficult to keep listening. Had I a kindle or print copy of this one I would have read it myself just to not have to hear the narrator. It was almost painful at times listening to hernruin the novel. Personally I hope to not hear her in another book.
Otherwise Nora Roberts did not disappoint...as usual.

The book had very short chapters and was over before it really began. I feel it lacked substance. Aside from that is was fairly entertaining and somewhat realistic.
