This is a Classic. Great Storyline, Great Narration, Easy to follow.
I listened to it on a trip with the kids, and when I stopped for fuel, they wanted me to leave it running. I loved it.

Historia
Lyra is rushing to the cold, far North, where witch clans and armored bears rule. North, where the Gobblers take the children they steal—including her friend Roger. North, where her fearsome uncle Asriel is trying to build a bridge to a parallel world. Can one small girl make a difference in such great and terrible endeavors? This is Lyra: a savage, a schemer, a liar, and as fierce and true a champion as Roger or Asriel could want. But what Lyra doesn't know is that to help one of them will be to betray the other.

First the Good. The narration was great, the cast of narrators really made it easy to follow. The style of writing was just my speed too.
Now the Bad. The storyline is Demonic, and so are some of the sub-plots.
Overall: For an adult, that is secure in what you believe, it's an interesting read. I would definitely Not read it to the kids.

Historia
In the Old Testament, God called his people to action with the blast of the shofar, a ram's horn. God still calls his people today. In this relevant and timely contemporary novel, dynamic young preacher Paul Hudson is committed to building his church: but at what cost? As Paul's zeal and ambition build, he loses sight of the One who called him. As Paul and those around him struggle to discern what it truly means to live out their faith, they must ultimately choose between their own will or God's plan.

Historia
What if the Antichrist has already been revealed? The first book in a gripping new series by best-selling authors Sigmund Brouwer and Hank Hanegraaff explores the lives of Christians who struggle to survive and spread the Gospel during the climactic turbulence of "the last days". With the enemy seeking to decipher the code of John's letter, Revelation, and destroy the church, believers must cling to the hope that Revelation provides as they face the greatest of all persecutions.
