Historia
My Race is the memoir of a gifted Jewish athlete growing up under the apartheid system of South Africa. As both an outsider excluded from the conservative Christian mainstream and an insider who reaped many of the benefits of a society founded on white supremacy, South African track star Lorraine Lotzof Abramson had a unique vantage point on the apartheid experience.

More than one person's life
Revisado: 02-25-17
This story, very well read in the authentic South African accents (a rarity), while representing one family's sincere story, echoes the experience of the many families who emigrated from Europe to South Africa then on to North American in subsequent generations, especially those who left South Africa because of the injustices of Apartheid. Well done!

Distracted by poor rendition of the South African accent
Revisado: 05-17-16
The reader does a very poor job of trying to copy a South African accent. Very distracting when someone fails with this.

Historia
From Frederick Forsyth, the grand master of international suspense, comes his most intriguing story ever - his own. For more than 40 years, Frederick Forsyth has been writing extraordinary real-world novels of intrigue, from the groundbreaking The Day of the Jackal to the prescient The Kill List. Whether writing about the murky world of arms dealers, the shadowy Nazi underground movement, or the intricacies of worldwide drug cartels, every plot has been chillingly plausible because every detail has been minutely researched.

"Have you been there?" Indeed he has.
Revisado: 05-16-16
As an avid reader of many of Frederick Forsyth's book, listening to (he +upside helps one understand that his renowned research ability is explained by his having "been there". The Outsider is brilliant because although it is a bit of an autobiography it explains his books and is brilliantly read.
