Such a beautiful story!

I honestly had no idea what to expect picking this up but it blew me away!
It starts off with a bang throwing you into this amazingly heartfelt, emotional story that is beautiful! And the way she wrote it is so interesting and different. There is five POVs, two from kids and three adults and eventually is just from the kids POV's.
It's really fast paced with about 14 years passing in this one book. The kids grow from 6-20ish but it's so well done, not confusing, and you still get lots of details.
It mostly focuses on Tyler and Amanda and how they met as children and became best friends. (Their parents are the other 3 POV's) And it goes through their life together, growing, helping to shape each other, and their relationship. Their relationship is so cute and sweet, they push each other to be better, challenge each other, comfort and encourage each other. It is truly so beautiful and heartwarming.
There are Christian elements and messages woven throughout. Messages about trusting in God's timing, having hope in difficult situations, and leaning on Him.
Really the whole thing is just such a joy to read! The world building is amazing you can imagine it all! The story flow was engaging and interesting! The relationships are beautiful from friendships to family dynamics. There is also some pain and heartache. But also laughter and love. And towards the end of the book Tyler's and Amandas relationship starts to blossom into something more....and then the end! Oh that end was just a tad cruel and I can't wait to read more and see what happens!
The narrator Lisa does such a good job reading this story. With all the time jumps and switches in POV's it's very easy to get lost and confused in an audiobook but she is so clear and though the voice changes are subtle for each character it's like you can hear their personality in her voice. So I could keep track super easily. She does really well in the inflection of emotions to and really brings characters to life! I loved every bit of this book!
Content: No-spice/kisses only, no swearing, innuendos between married couple, domestic abuse, suggestive comments made towards women.

This book blew me away!! It deserves more than five stars, no joke! Seriously so good, I'm almost speechless! 😉
From the start, there's excitement and action. Immediately dropping you into the story and you won't get back out until the story is done, and trust me you won't want to. At first I was a little confused as I got my bearings and could grasp the story, but once I did I was hooked!
You meet a bunch of characters, and there is three total POV's with it mostly being from Sela's perspective. The other two are from Caleb the MMC and love interest and Leeran her older brother. She has so much sadness, hurt, anger, and doubt in The Carver (which is Representative of Jesus in this world). She goes through so much in this story but also grows as well.
I loved Sela's character she is brave, strong, so loving and caring. She cares for those no one else would and fights for the helpless. Wrongs are committed against her, but she grows stronger from it, she sees the underlying good. Selfless to the core, she would sacrfice herself in a heart beat if it meant saving someone she loves. She even by the end comes to see the truth of The Carver, at least partially. I think she still has some learning to do but she trusts Him and believes He can be merciful.
Caleb is part of the righteous(more on that in a bit), he is supposed to be her enemie, and their love is forbidden. But he can't stop protecting her, and he's such a great guy. He's kind, strong, and wants to do what's right. In this story he learns of his world's corrupt thinking and though he thought he was on the right side, he comes to the realization that maybe they aren't as good and moral as he has believed. He loves Sela from the beginning and gives her so many kindnesses and constantly seeks her out despite it being against the rules.
Their romance is sweet and wholesome, full of saving each other, and helping the other to grow.
The world building! My goodness she did such an amazing job! Not only in the descriptions of the world which is very well detailed, but in how the world works. There is two main settings in the book, the Old Town, and Azazel. Even the government, and world system it was all so interesting! There are the Righteous as I mentioned before, they pretty much run the place, and tell everyone else about The Carver and His will and what they are supposed to do. And in this world the first born child once they've reached the age of eighteen go into a lot to determine if they are souless or not. One child is picked each year by the Righteous, branded on the hand, and exhiled to Azazel. There is more to it but you'll just have to read to find out 😉
But all of that to say that this story covers messages about mercy, forgiveness, false prophets, truth. The characters discover that The Carver (Jesus) does not consider them any less worthy because they are branded, He does not make them souless. He loves them, cares for them, and does have true mercy not what they are taught is His mercy. I cannot put into words how well this was done and how ingrained in the story it was. Seriously it was amazing, such beautiful messages, and an amazing story!
This book was one thing after another, plot twists everywhere, excitement, romance, and things bigger than any of them happening, there's more to be learned in the next book. And I can't wait! This is a new favorite and a must read in my opinion!
The Narrator did an amazing job voicing the characters and getting me really engrossed in the story. Really brought the characters to life giving them voices and feelings. It was all so well done!
Content: No-Spice/kisses only, no swearing, attempted rape(nothing happens), death, murder, violence, branding of people(process isn't described), prostitutes, suggestive comments, a side character has an abusive husband(only aftermath bruises are described), wounds, a character gets whipped on the back, (nothing is gory or graphic).

This story is such a fun, sweet, cute, rom-com, Christian book! It's pretty short but full of beautiful things!
The FMC Natalie gets a letter from her deceased aunt with challenges and a prepaid vacation, and at first she's hesitant to go through with her aunts last wish for her. But eventually she decides to take the leap of faith and do it! She learns to open her heart, to lean on others, and to trust God.
She is hardworking and has built this business up for herself and has gone through a lot of heartache and pain in her past. She is very caring and strong and independent.
The MMC Shawn and her romance isn't a huge plot point, but it is second chance love, and very sweet, and he cares a lot about her despite her breaking it off with him sometimes before the time th book takes place. She learns to allow herself to love and to let others in, to trust, and that it's okay to need help sometimes, very beautiful message. The ending was wonderful, with everything coming together to give you a joyous happy ending!
The Narrator Lisa is so amazing! She does wonderful in every book I listen to from her, and does not disappoint. She does so well with allowing you into the minds of the characters through the way she speaks for them. She gives them life, and emotion, even sings at times when needed. She differentiates between characters wonderfully and makes you enjoy listening to the story!

Beautiful Story!

This book was wonderful! Such a sweet, heartfelt, cute, funny story, with some heartwarming and breaking moments.
Both Brooklyn (FMC) and Jonah(the MMC) have hurt in their past and things to work through. And together they help one another heal, and get closer to God. Their relationship was so sweet and cute, and I loved them so much! I think I had a smile on my face half the time I was listening to it 🤭
Jonah is also a dad of an adorable little girl, Ava, and their relationship is amazing, and when Ava gets to know Brooklyn she loves her immediately!
The story is pretty fast paced, but the love story is not, it spands a few months during the book, but I love how she wrote it. She had some of their meetings they had were told to us as replaying the memories in their minds, or talking about a phone call they had. I felt it was fun and different to do it that way!
God was woven throughout this story, in themes of healing, forgiveness, finding your back to Him, and love.
And there is many loveable side characters including a meddling pastor's wife, who is bubbly and caring, she pushes these two together and it totally worked! I loved her character as well as all the rest who played a part in the story. Such a beautiful story!
The Narrator was also amazing, she does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life in your mind! And even giving a distinction between which characters are talking. So good! The emotions she inflects is perfect, if their laughing you can tell, if their sad you can tell. There's even a part in this book that a character sang a little song, and instead of just reading it, she sang it exactly how I imagine the character would've, full of joy!

Oh my goodness this story! This is not like my usual reads nor is it something I would generally pick up but I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read more in this world!
This is literally the cutest, most adorable, fantasy rom-com! I mean the FMC'S middle name is Tinkerbell 🤭 how fun is that!
I adore Cassia's (the FMC) and Will's (the MMC) relationship! They are super sweet, super cute, they've both been burned in love before as their both divorcees, and scared of what could happen if they loved again. More so on Cassia's part, but I love seeing her open up, and allow Will into her heart, and I love his excitement to date her and he is so thoughtful and mindful of her feelings and thoughts. He is literally THE BEST!
Cassia also has a daughter, Olivia who Will is great with, and she loves him right back!
It also has a whole town full of side characters that are so lovable and add so much to the story!
And the setting is so cute, so well done, realistic and yet quirky and not of this world! Super fun town! And such a fun story! I couldn't get enough! It's funny, the story's got it's ups and downs, even some fight scenes, brief but there 🤭 I like the pacing too, and it's very detailed and the way that the whole story is playing out and you can imagine it which brings me to what I loved about the narrator!
One thing that makes me love audiobooks is that it brings the characters to life! It's like your hearing their voices and the narrator, Lisa did an amazing job!! and I'm picky about my narrators, some I just can't handle. But she does really well with all the emotions even the small ones, you can hear them in every word, the joy, the pain, the fear, the excitement, the worry, the uncertainty every little detail. This is also dual POV, and she did great with both sides! Super easy to follow too, even sped up which I loved, she speaks very clearly, just it was so good!
I have no words to accurately describe how much I enjoyed this one, both the story and how Lisa did at voicing the characters!
