Great plot, twists, story.

Almost as perfect as the first book minus some added spice. I don’t like spicy scenes, was unhappy to find what I consider two. It was unnecessary.

Spoilers:
I got hooked on this series randomly checking out a mystery book at the library. That was book 12. I couldn’t put them down! This book however was a struggle. I didn’t enjoy the crystal/witch/yada yada part of it. We get it. You like witches. I don’t agree with the lifestyle but that is me. 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t love it shoved down my throat in a book. 🙄 Her mom and Meg are lovable just as they are, I don’t need to hear about cleansing practices. I already loved her when she was seen in previous books. -sigh- I’m leery about starting another as I’ve been buying them on audible. The plots are so engaging and interesting, and I love everything about the main character and her husband. The writing is great but this aspect was mention so freaking much. 😑 Again, personal preference you can take it or leave it.

Some huge drawbacks but just personal choice
Revisado: 06-19-23
Pros:
Awesome story! The writing was great, no amazing, and one of the best who dun it books I’ve listened to this writer has talent for sure:
Cons: I don’t personally want to listen to any intimate scenes especially with same-sex couples. I should have looked up the book so that is my mistake 🤷🏼♀️ You don’t need it to make a book excellent and hers very near was! Just my opinion no one has to listen. 🙃

Raw. Very raw. Eye-opening. We adopted our daughter 3 yrs ago. Open adoption but for mistakes on both sides we’ve not heard much from her in that time. I pray to make better decisions and repair our relationship with her. For our daughter, for her and us. I love her dearly for the gift she gave but this insight. Wow.

After putting her own baby up for adoption, she goes looking for her biological family, including: Maya, her loudmouthed younger bio sister, who has a lot to say about their newfound family ties. And Joaquin, their stoic older bio brother, who has no interest in bonding over their shared biological mother.

Sweet story
Revisado: 10-02-22
Following the story of three teens, one from the view of foster care though high-level I would say. Two from infant adoption. It was very interesting to hear inner dialogue of what must be true-life accounts. I knew trauma was going to be prevalent even in infant private adoption but hearing some- eye opening. This was a real page turner book for me. I only deduct points because I think the use of foul language was quite unnecessary and the teen romance talk. Though it was minimum, eh not really needed for the story but those are just my opinions and I really enjoyed the book regardless and would recommend it to anyone curious about adoption ♥️
