Historia
Michael Pollan, known for his best-selling nonfiction audio, including The Omnivores Dilemma and How to Change Your Mind, conceived and wrote Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World as an Audible Original. In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

Historia
Stupidity is all around us, from the coworker who won't stop hitting "reply all" to the former high-school classmate posting conspiracy theories on Facebook. But in order to vanquish it, we must first understand it. In The Psychology of Stupidity, some of the world's leading psychologists and thinkers - including a Nobel Prize winner and best-selling authors - will show you: why smart people sometimes believe in utter nonsense; how our lazy brains cause us to make the wrong decisions; why trying to debate fools is a trap; and more!

Nothing I would’ve expected
Revisado: 05-16-23
If you don’t think you’re somewhat stupid after reading this book read it again. This is a clever take on human behavior and reading it can only help in navigating relationships, our own stubborn views and business . Entertaining and informative.

Historia
John Lydon is an icon - one of the most recognizable and influential cultural figures of the last 40 years. As Johnny Rotten, he was the lead singer of the Sex Pistols, the world's most notorious band. The Pistols shot to fame in the mid-1970s with songs such as "Anarchy in the U.K." and "God Save the Queen". So incendiary was their impact at the time that in their native England, the Houses of Parliament questioned whether they violated the Traitors and Treasons Act.

Indisputably most exceptional human
Revisado: 01-18-23
In the heart of the most notorious punk “bad boy” blatantly exists the most decent, humble human. Unapologetically honest Johnny shares his story, fashion struggles, why he is Rotten and perspectives on life. Listening to this in audio is a must - as Johnny’s voice and expression is as captivating as we have come to expect. He dives into his childhood, his relationship with Sid, his parents, bandmates and the love of his life and soul mate Nora.

Hard hitting this was an experience!
Revisado: 09-22-22
From start to finish our emotions are at the mercy of author Mike Gayle. Quickly falling in love with Hubert, our main character, early on has the reader emotionally involved through every unexpected turn. A place where lying is selfless and stubbornness is a savior, All the Lonely People is a must read- audio narrative is brilliant.

Wow! And some more Wow! Not just for NOFX fans
Revisado: 03-12-22
The format of the book is arguably the best of it’s kind. Hearing stories from multiple perspectives their own voices made this my favorite audiobook. You do not have to be a diehard NOFX fan to enjoy this book. Their story is worth telling and hearing. Prepare to find NOFX to be endearing, inspirational and down right disgusting. I won’t give any spoilers, but while hearing about Japan I had to take my EarPods out for a few seconds. So the gross part and funny parts you would expect -the jabs at the heart shows another side to the goofball albeit awesome band! Highly recommend not listening with your Grandma in the room! It would make for a super awkward moment. But you already knew that.

Historia
In Dark Towers, award-winning journalist David Enrich reveals the truth about Deutsche Bank and its epic path of devastation. Tracing the bank's history back to its propping up of a default-prone American developer in the 1880s, helping the Nazis build Auschwitz, and wooing Eastern Bloc authoritarians, he shows how in the 1990s, via a succession of hard-charging executives, Deutsche made a fateful decision to pursue Wall Street riches, often at the expense of ethics and the law.

Hard to take that Bikini Robot Army played a critical part in it all. Such a wild story informative and a well written history. I learned a lot along the way- part of me is going to miss tuning in now that’s it’s over.
