Historia
James Dommek, Jr., an Alaska Native writer and musician, sheds new light on a real-life mystery that pits Native American folklore against the US justice system. In the vast Alaskan Arctic, legend has it there once lived a mythic tribe—Iñukuns—that only existed in rumors and whispers. This changed forever when an actor-turned-fugitive, Teddy Kyle Smith, had an encounter that brought Iñukuns from myth to reality. Smith was an aspiring actor with a promising career until it all came quickly crashing down with a gunshot, a manhunt, bloodshed, and other frightful events.

Surprisingly Entertaining, Authored for Audio
Revisado: 09-27-23
At about 3h30, I didn't expect much depth. But, I was looking at Ms as a book, which turned out to be a mistake. It's much closer to a classic radio drama or a This American Life episode - and a particularly good one at that.
Use of authentic audio and just the right amount of local color definitely enhanced the story and the listening experience.
In the end, the story isn't particularly complex - it couldn't be in the time available. But, it's an interesting story worth telling, it was well written - including original and wholly appropriate musical touches - and expertly produced, with many subtle touches. It's a quality, entertaining listen.

Excellent reading of a thrilling work
Revisado: 05-09-22
I've read some great books, on paper and Via Audible. this one ranks among the best, in terms of literary tension and quality reading. Airframe does not have the most complicated of plots, but what is there is written well and fully entertains.

Truly awesome.
Revisado: 01-16-19
I'm not really a fan of military themes, but I found this book to be an amazing work, coupled to an already amazing true story. I recommend this book without reservation. it was captivating from beginning to end, and its content would be relatable to nearly anyone. I'm very pleased to have found Indianapolis. Thanks.

Historia
Auckland Island is a godforsaken place in the middle of the Southern Ocean, 285 miles south of New Zealand. With year-round freezing rain and howling winds, it is one of the most forbidding places in the world. To be shipwrecked there means almost certain death. In 1864, Captain Thomas Musgrave and his crew of four aboard the schooner Grafton wreck on the southern end of the island. Utterly alone in a dense coastal forest, plagued by stinging blowflies and relentless rain, Captain Musgrave inspires his men to take action.

The Martian of the 1860's
Revisado: 11-16-18
having Red Bull, it's impossible not to compare this lost story with the Martian by Andy Weir. For your benefit, I will not include spoilers, such as the level of success of the crews. However, I can promise that you will enjoy your time with this work.

Enjoyed it all the way through, but...
Revisado: 03-27-15
The stories told were unbelievably raw and haunting. The book is masterfully crafted and I am glad I took the time to finish it. However, if I had known what would be required emotionally before I started listening, I would chosen something else. Sensitive readers take note.

Learning is a lifelong adventure. It starts in your mother's womb, accelerates to high speed in infancy and childhood, and continues through every age. Whether you're actively engaged in mastering a new skill, intuitively discovering an unfamiliar place, or even sleeping-which is fundamental to helping you consolidate and hold on to what you've learned-you are truly born to learn around the clock. But few of us know how we learn, which is the key to learning and studying more effectively.

Quality performance and material, can lag
Revisado: 03-10-15
I enjoyed the course quite a bit. There is plenty of thought provoking material, as well as the requisite background for those somewhat new to the field. Can't give it a five, due to the slow and occasionally uneven delivery. At 125% speed, it was much improved. I feel the instructor is probably a rather good speaker who may have been thrown off by the recording process. Overall, I definitely recommend it.
