Like most stories, this is a condensation of several themes found over hundreds of years of storytelling.
That said, Weir has created something that will spark the minds of thousands of people for hundreds of years to come.
I'm not a religious person at all anymore, but if there is life after death I sure hope it's Andy's version of reality and not this Heaven and Hell nonsense.
Bless you Andy... This made the hairs on my neck stand up.

Picked this up after noticing it featured in the "stuff you might like" section and boy were they right! Although not as technical as Andy Weirs fantastic new "Hail Mary" Wellington still pulls off a great believable story!
A+ performance (as always) by Tusing.
If she's narrating it I know it's probably not terrible and has a great chance of being good!

If I could give less than one star I would. DO NOT BUY IT!
All the positive reviews are from the author! Go look at everyone who has reviewed this book... They have reviewed the same two books! Fake fake fake fake!
I'm not even through the first chapter yet and I'm not sure if I will be able to stomach the rest. Nevermind that this is read by a robot (no, really), the author states that ingesting large amounts of pot will lead to insanity. They also state that smoking pot causes some users to become extremely violent! This is so untrue it borders on heresy!
Don't waste your time and money... You could get better information from you 16 year old kid!

I could identify with so many of his first person accounts concerning alcohol it's hard to name just one moment...

If AA isn't for you and you want to quit drinking I recommend this book. It's not going to fix everything for you of course, but it's a refreshing perspective.
