Historia
Early Christianity was subversive and dangerous - dangerous for Christians, and a threat to the keepers of the old order. Most of all Christianity was countercultural. But what about contemporary American Christianity? Is it the countercultural way of Jesus or merely a religious endorsement of Americanism? In his provocative audiobook, Postcards From Babylon, Brian Zahnd challenges the listener to see and embrace a daring Jesus-centered Christianity that can again turn the world upside down.

In times like these
Revisado: 02-07-25
Written during first Trump administration it is a prophetic revelation of an almost complete marriage between the evangelical church and Trump and his second administration. Antithetical to the teaching of Christ and the NT. It encourages me to love my enemies and pray trusting the Jesus is still the head of his church and will prevail. Loving the people of the world is such a contrast to what are seeing now.

Historia
Beloved contemporary Christian musician Rich Mullins lived his life with abandon for God, leaving the spotlight to teach music among a Navajo community. An accident cut his life short in 1997, but his songs and ragamuffin spirit continue to teach many. In honor of the twenty-fifth anniversary of Rich's homegoing, this edition of Rich Mullins: An Arrow Pointing to Heaven delivers an intimate look at the experiences that sparked praise hits and the values behind his Christ-like candor.

Revisado: 06-10-23
The story of a celebrity just like us. Same struggles same trials. A walk through life with Rich Mullins in the reality of living trying to please the one who saves us. It challenged me on many levels, I would say a must read!

Historia
We are at war. Not with a foreign government or domestic terrorists or a creepy new artificial intelligence hell-bent on taking over the world. No, it’s a war we feel deep inside our own chests: we are at war with lies. The problem isn’t so much that we tell lies but that we live them. We let them into our bodies, and they sabotage our peace.

Historia
Should we always forgive? Is forgiveness always even possible? Does forgiveness enable evil? Does it sacrifice justice? Are there ANY limits? In a world where the ugliness of rage and retaliation are driving the story line, Unconditional? offers the beauty, reconciliation, and total restoration of forgiveness the way Jesus taught us to live it.

The Christian Way
Revisado: 12-02-22
An outstanding treatise on Christ empowered forgiveness. To imitate Christ is to forgive. The Amish story of forgiving the murderer of their children is powerful. I say this is a must read. Our pastor rarely recommends a book from the front but thankfully he recommended this book. I’ve read many books and I would honestly say this is probably the most important one for those honestly wanting to follow Christ.

Historia
How did a libertine who lacks even the most basic knowledge of the Christian faith win 81 percent of the white evangelical vote in 2016? And why have white evangelicals become a presidential reprobate's staunchest supporters? Jesus and John Wayne is a sweeping account of the last 75 years of white evangelicalism, showing how American evangelicals have worked for decades to replace the Jesus of the Gospels with an idol of rugged masculinity and Christian nationalism.

Marriage of Evangelicalism with the political right
Revisado: 01-20-22
As a 75 yr old male I’ve witnessed what the author has historically recounted. My whole world view began to radically change when Donald Trump was supported by the powerful in white evangelical church without a clear voice of caution. My conclusion is that the evangelical movement is apostate and no longer following Jesus as presented in the NT.

The Present Perfect: Finding God in the Now
Revisado: 09-20-19
This book came just at the right for me. God has for years been nudging closer to learning in the present with Him and this was "perfect" for this present moment. God is always here right now He never leaves and learning to live in that reality can be life transformative.

Getting in touch again
Revisado: 07-16-19
Getting in touch with yourself and God is what this was about for me. Doing all "right things" as Christian, but of course never perfectly. Always feeling like something is missing, which for me was intimacy with my creator. Getting in touch with reality and finding God waiting for me their. Would recommend this especially for burned Evangelical Christians, a soothing ointment.
