Historia
Tucked away among Devon's rolling green hills, Mallowan Hall combines the best of English tradition with the modern conveniences of 1930. Housekeeper Phyllida Bright, as efficient as she is personable, manages the large household with an iron fist in her very elegant glove. In one respect, however, Mallowan Hall stands far apart from other picturesque country houses. The manor is home to archaeologist Max Mallowan and his famous wife, Agatha Christie.

Excellent reading by Jennifer

The reader was perfect for the story. I thoroughly enjoyed the listening! The plot and characters were interesting enough and the writer didn’t spend time being repetitive- which I appreciated. However, the plot did default to the usual in the end- which was disappointing for me.

Historia
Molly Gray is not like everyone else. She struggles with social skills and misreads the intentions of others. Her gran used to interpret the world for her, codifying it into simple rules that Molly could live by. Since Gran died a few months ago, twenty-five-year-old Molly has been navigating life’s complexities all by herself. No matter—she throws herself with gusto into her work as a hotel maid. Her unique character, along with her obsessive love of cleaning and proper etiquette, make her an ideal fit for the job.

Overall interesting/ different perspective
Revisado: 09-23-23
In my opinion the narrator did an outstanding job with the characters.
The story line was interesting from the perspective of an (assuming) autistic person. I enjoyed the self dialogue and her perceptions of other people, herself, her employment, and life in general. However, she talks a lot about seeing things in black and white from the beginning of the book, but at the end we find out that back in the earlier pages she has actually philosophized within herself about “truth” within the timeframe of the murder. This does not ring “true “.
It is obviously an occasion that the author took to express her own views on what she believes about truth, If the mysterious woman at the end had been worked into the plot more effectively- this could have been an excellent book.
