Historia
At some point, every one of us embarks on a journey to find love. We meet people, date, get into and out of relationships, all with the hope of finding someone with whom we share a deep connection. This seems standard now, but it’s wildly different from what people did even just decades ago. Single people today have more romantic options than at any point in human history. With technology, our abilities to connect with and sort through these options are staggering. So why are so many people frustrated?

Research or Entertainment?
Revisado: 09-22-16
I love Aziz, his acting, and his stand up. In this book it was hard to know whether he was trying to be informative or funny. most times he was tepid in both categories. I would recommend this book, but it didn't meet any of my expectations. I didn't laugh that much and didn't really learn that much either.

Historia
David Rakoff's best-selling collection of autobiographical essays, Fraud, established him as one of today's funniest and most insightful writers. Now, in Don't Get Too Comfortable, Rakoff moves from the personal to the public, journeying into the land of unchecked plenty that is contemporary America. Rarely have greed, vanity, selfishness, and vapidity been so mercilessly and wittily skewered.

Entertaining and Interesting
Revisado: 05-29-16
Any additional comments?
David Rakoff has an intriguing voice that captivates one from start to finish. This is the first book I've listened to by David and it was highly entertaining. His stories are embellished I'm sure, but it makes for interesting listening. As a faithful NPR listener, this book is in the same vane as a "This American Life" story or David Sedaris.

Any additional comments?
This book gives practical information about how to develop strong habits and attaches each principle to a narrative to help it be remembered. It also gives additional information on how to apply the themes from the book in the epilogue.

Historia
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

Great Familiar Narrative
Revisado: 05-29-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Dad Is Fat to be better than the print version?
Jim Gaffigan's years of stage performance make him easy to listen to. He crafts his intonation and phrasing expertly.
What did you like best about this story?
This book is great for anyone who had kids or is thinking about having kids. He bluntly tells it like it is and does it in an interesting way.
Any additional comments?
I gave the book 4 stars overall due to the fact that a lot of the material found in the book comes from his stage act. That being said, if you like Jim Gaffigan, you'll love this book.

Historia
The Etymologicon is a completely unauthorized guide to the strange underpinnings of the English language. It explains: How you get from “gruntled” to “disgruntled”; why you are absolutely right to believe that your meager salary barely covers “money for salt”; how the biggest chain of coffee shops in the world (hint: Seattle) connects to whaling in Nantucket; and what precisely the Rolling Stones have to do with gardening.

Fun and Entertaining
Revisado: 02-09-16
This book was a little overwhelming to start off. But after a while, I just let the words flow over my brain and stopped worrying about remembering every little detail. What a fun book for any linguaphiles out there that want to learn more about where words come from and the history of their own language.
