Oddly engaging and soothing

I honestly just needed something long and in the vein of Mark of the Fool. The narrator was great he made a description of what sounded like just grinding monster in a game but in book form engaging enough that I didn’t quit early on. However whenever I actually tuned in for the plot I was wondering when it was going to start. Like he seriously does not have any meaningful interactions with another character (in currently in chap 55). It getting boring because but it’s great for background noise. I won’t buy the next one. Not a fan of it so far. I will finish it though because it is just so soothing.

This is a epic truly. A mental movie you want to rewatch multiple times. Thee pacing is good. The world build is great and the narrator does an amazing job bringing the characters to live just right. The cadence is just right.

The story between the prince and Ealanth is complex and the moment of anxiety just right.

The main character is good from the get go. I love the establishing scenes and how the story shows us through events all we need to know about the world.

A nice find. The reader doesn't make me cringe which is really all you can ask for. she does a great job.

It's giving Naruto and Sasuke

It's giving Naruto and Sasuke. Like for real Sophie is suske persueing his selfish dreams of revenge or in this case happily ever after and Agatha is Naruto just refusing to accept reality.

I couldn't take the teen angs inner monol.

I got to chapter 4 before I decided to check the review to see if I was crazy or lyric was just a thirsty teen. I mean I do t mind her being thirsty AF over this guy but really she just goes on and on about it.

I also though her character traits where just so on the 👃 . I can't imagine being so nonchalant and grateful over ones sexuality but also so focus on it. I saw what the author did by having her acknowledge her privilege but that didn't speak to me.

I can also tell all the foreshadowing going that things are going to take a magical turn🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️. maybe I'll stick around until chapter 7.

couldn't get behind the MC

I really need hated the MC. The story was good but man did I dislike the girl. Too dumb to live. Just ...god was she a let down. I thought she would be like a cool gamer chick ready to be chosen one but she turn out to be human.

This Clift is too intense.

Loved the story. The new narrator took some getting use to put she was great. and wow about Claus at the end. Disappointing that we didn't address the cliff with dina from the previous book. Hope we get to it in the next one. OMG and Helen. Can't wait to get more from her antics.

I read this because some of my students were reading it. It was not a story I could enjoy based on its narrative. there was a lot of undertone. Like a cautionary tale.
