Highest respect for Mr. Rothman’s intellect, in-depth research skill, and crystal clear details in explaining such a wide range of topics. But incorporating it into the storylines and keeping it interesting is undoubtedly next level storytelling. Also love hearing about the author’s background. Lived in EU many years and saw many heartbreaking things throughout Germany, like Dachau, Nuremberg, Berlin’s Shoah memorial, etc. Saw the bronze shoes on the Danube near the Hungarian Parliament. After Oct 7th, I cannot believe the waves of hate against israel and support for the evil doers! This book written in 2019 is so eerily prophetic vis-a-vis the anti semitic hate stoked by the media and loud voices spewing blatant lies—I feel the world had gone mad! Mr. Rothman, please continue to speak the truths you’ve woven into such wonderful stories!

Tearjerker Lassie Come Home story

Author never fails to astound me with such unique story plots from the dog & cat perspectives. Makes me wonder if he’s the real Dr. Doolittle. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 if you like this story, you should listen to the 3 am series—I laughed so hard, I embarrass myself a few times. Well done, Mr. Pirog!!!

Beautifully heartbreaking

Mistakes happen all the time, but this one caused long term pain and suffering. Story is well written, even if the plot twist can be seen long before the ending—but still enjoyable to listen to. The readers did very well and I very much appreciate their talent. Kudos and bravo to the novelist and readers!

Heartwarmingly realistic

Love, love, love this author! Beautiful character development, like my red roses slowly opening up to the sun, revealing the velvet ruby petals one by one. Yet not sparing us the details of human flaws and hubris in all its diorama…or drama. I can’t stand ridiculously saccharine happily ever after endings—but Ms Higgins’ books contain the finest, most palatable, most relatable, most laughable stories. If ever I want to grow up and be a novelist, she’s my patron saint and guiding light role model. Meanwhile, I’ll just read everything she writes and keep them forever! And Ms Xe Sands—how I’d love to speak and sound like you! Alas, I shall never be. Please don’t stop reading amazing books and sharing with us your singularly unicorn talent of bringing all these characters to life! Much ❤️❤️❤️to you both superlatively majestic women!

GOAT Narrator!

Cerebral story plot, relatable characters, enjoyable descriptions of places. It should be a heavy topic, but author is a master at whipping it up, mixing the light and heavy. I’d prefer a bit more humor with Vinny’s silly little Cubana (?) dance and crochet clubs. Creative stories like these open up our minds to possibilities—even if they sound unbelievable and impossible right now. Thank you, Mr. Jones!

Wow, just wow!

Beautiful story written by a genius author. Wondered if the author really knew that much of such a wide subject variety. Anyway, highest respect to him for injecting humor & emotion into what could have been a dry engineering, microbiology et al book topic. Standing ovation to the narrator for bringing the printed words to life. Such marvelous artistry is why I follow the narrator and author.

Movie script material!

Compelling story with a never-saw-it-coming whammy of a twist! If I knew how to write movie scripts this would be the one to hammer out first. I mean, I saw the twist right before the story took a left turn, having listened to hundreds of mystery whodunnits. But I was still intrigued and captivated enough to listen all the way through. Standing ovations—if at all possible for audio books—for the author AND narrators who brought this Audible story to life!!!

Heartbreakingly beautiful story…

The story tells of so much heartbreaking missed opportunities to be with loved ones, repeated in a miserable cycle over four generations. It’s a very human story of pain caused by just a handful of ugly individuals. Although the endings were replete with hope and healing in their relationships, it’s still very sad to see how humans can destroy and inflict pain on each other.

Another Hewson Masterpiece!

Profound thoughts in story form are shared with us by the author on the illusionary, virtual worlds currently ensnaring our modern, “advanced” society. Much appreciate the light Mr. Hewson shines on the virtual riptides that could pull us under if we’re not careful.
