Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Politics
Revisado: 09-15-19
Mr King’s political opinions make reading the book uncomfortable. One mention of Mr Trump was enough. Three comments really soured what was an otherwise very good book.

Historia
The Marshalls were the perfect family in the perfect town. They had new cars and a permanent place in the country-club set. Then, on a chilly September night, Maria Marshall - the beautiful wife and mother - was murdered in cold blood. The tragedy had only just begun.

Felt cheated after hearing the word abridged. Totally should have been more careful when ordering.

Historia
Little Lorna Bell is from a notorious family on a rundown estate. Everyone thinks she's a nasty piece of work. The schoolchildren call her a thief. But Lorna's hair is matted, her shoes pinch her feet, and school teacher Claire Penny can't help herself; some kids just need a bit more support, a bit more love, than the rest. As the bond between teacher and pupil grows stronger, Claire sees Lorna's bruises, and digs to uncover the disturbing tale behind them. Heartbroken, Claire knows she has to act. Predictable?
Revisado: 07-02-17
The first seven chapters were slow. Going into the middle of the book I felt like I wasn't sure if the little girl was alive or Claire's way of compensating for her past. But then about an hour before the book ended I knew the ending it was kind of predictable. But it was enjoyable have to say.
