pretty terrible
Revisado: 06-23-22
I used to love the weekly sweat but aside from that I don't know much about Mr. Town. This was like a wish version of Mike Ma's book though, if even that. I almost stopped reading about 10 times, and it's rarely funny or makes any sense lol

Historia
Journalist Allum Bokhari has spent four years investigating the tech giants that dominate the Internet: Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter. He has discovered a dark plot to seize control of the flow of information, and utilize that power to its full extent - to censor, manipulate, and ultimately sway the outcome of democratic elections.

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

out of touch and out dated
Revisado: 07-01-21
there's some good info in this book, but it's really out of touch now. Anti-White racism and radical leftist policies are out of control now, and it's laughable to see the writer try and sit in the middle and pretend it isn't the case. Maybe when this book was written conservatives could influence a college to fire a professor, but now universities will gladly back and shield any leftist professor from criticism (no matter how radical) and even give promotions, which is what happened to one of the few examples they used in George Cicc-Maher. How many regular, working class people lost jobs because they didn't support the BLM riots, looting, and violence (all over a drug addict overdosing) while all major multinational corporations, all of academia, all of the media/hollywood/entertainment, and the majority of gov cheered, supported, and made excuses for the violence? this book has become totally outdated in a very short time unfortunately. The writer also gives legitimacy to the ridiculous idea that "white supremacy" is a growing problem by writing about incidents that were obvious hoaxes (and later proven to be) of swastikas or slurs written on college campuses in response to issues.

Historia
In his most provocative and practical book yet, one of the foremost thinkers of our time redefines what it means to understand the world, succeed in a profession, contribute to a fair and just society, detect nonsense, and influence others. Citing examples ranging from Hammurabi to Seneca, Antaeus the Giant to Donald Trump, Nassim Nicholas Taleb shows how the willingness to accept one's own risks is an essential attribute of heroes, saints, and flourishing people in all walks of life.

Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

Worst book I've ever read
Revisado: 07-11-19
I'm Mexican, but I guess I've "internalized" my racism or whatever nonsensical term this white lady uses, because I couldn't disagree more with almost every point and premise in this book. Don't waste your time listening to this.
