The ending because it was so bad

Presentation was fine. It was easy listening while gardening or cleaning. But in all my years, and hundreds of books, I’ve never read (listened to) a book with such a bad ending or should I say no ending. None of the major issues in the book were completed. Who kidnapped her and what exactly did she experience during that time. Why was she responsible for Sara’s death. Who was the ghost boy. What did the senator or his son have to do with ANYTHING. It was like she just ran out of time. I will never get another book by this author

The story was simple but easy to listen to while driving. I did not like the narrator and found her performance annoying. Overall, I do not regret buying it and though I do not think it was Patterson best work, I enjoyed it
