Mr King can do better
Revisado: 05-15-22
Readable but maybe some writers' alligators just need the sauce.
Very well narrated. Paul Sparks always does a great job.

Historia
Suddenly in the spotlight, 24-year-old Hannah Brown realized that she wasn’t sure what she wanted. After years of competing in beauty pageants, and then starring on The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars, she had become incredibly visible. There she was, in her early twenties, with millions around the world examining and weighing in on her every decision. She found herself wondering what it would mean to live on her terms. What it would mean to stop seeking approval from others and decide - for the first time - what it was she wanted from her own life.

This was amazing. I loved that Hannah actually read it. The story really hit home to me and I feel like she was talking about my life.

Historia
Before cell phones that fit in the palm of your hand and slim laptops that fit snugly into briefcases, computers were like strange, alien vending machines. They had cryptic switches, punch cards, and pages of encoded output. But in 1975, a young engineering wizard named Steve Wozniak had an idea: What if you combined computer circuitry with a regular typewriter keyboard and a video screen?

Don't Bother
Revisado: 11-04-11
After my daughter chose this book as a book report book I decided to read it thinking we could discuss how inspirational a success story like his could be. This book demonstrated that the opposite was true. My daughter was struck by how incongruous selling illegal phone boxes was for someone who professes over and over to hold his own truthfulness in such high regard. It is a fascinating insight into a completely self centric world but otherwise don't bother. A much better read about someone achieving professional excellence is Steven King's Memoir on writing. The latter is unpretentious and interesting which is in stark contrast to this book.

From its haunting chronicle of the monstrous mass murders the Nazis perpetrated and the murky details of their postwar existence to the challenges of hunting them down, Hunting Evil is a monumental work of nonfiction written with the pacing and intrigue of a thriller.

Interesting but unnecessarily judgemental
Revisado: 10-20-11
A well researched but overly judgemental, particularly with regard to Simon Wiesenthal, review of the efforts to bring Nazi war criminals to justice. His own account of his spineless meeting with a convicted Nazi war criminal is in sharp contrast to his criticism of those individuals who spent and risked their lives bringing these criminals to justice.

Historia
Were the government actions at Ruby Ridge and Waco "planned executions"? Has the national debt been deliberately increased to give international bankers control over the country? Is there a secret organization of top political, economic, military, and religious leaders whose goal is to control the entire planet?
