Reads like a YA story

Writing is elementary, narrator of one female voice is annoying; throaty with vocal burn. Really disliked this one altogether. Tough to finish, wanted to quit many times but stuck with it hoping it got better. It didn’t.

This book was so disappointing. I actually finished, but tuned out most of it once I realized how repetitive and pointless much of the exchanges were. This is a family comprised of sad souls who spend so much time being malcontented - and then realizing how blessed they are to have each other - over and over and over.

The narrator was annoyoing - though not sure if it was her fault or the fault of the author. Lots of half sentenced: "I uh, What I mean to say is, ....but, wait...." This drove me nuts as did the voices of the children. Just creepy.

Narration ruined it for me

The story is just ok….written like it is a school essay and was told to use lots and lots of adjectives. I disliked the attempt at flowery, romantic writing. It was not worth a credit, but luckily i got it as a Daily Deal and paid the cost of a my non-fat latte. I like the latte way better.

Terrible. Just Terrible.

This book is awful. It needs serious editing as it probably could be told in about 1/2 the time. It is unbelievable, ridiculous and insults the reader with its premise. It was free (unlimited option) thankfully, but still not worth even that price.

Extremely unlikable main character

I was so disappointed in this book as the reviews had me excited for a good read. The main character is so, so, so self centered, depressing, weak and whiny. She never evolves into someone even remotely likable or even clear headed. "She's empty, but she's full", "she's cold, but she's hot", "she loves him, but she hates him". UGH!! The narration was wonderful, however, but this wasn't worth my time and it was work just to finish it.
