Historia
When an elderly Miracle Springs resident, Lucille Wynter, arranges for Nora to deliver an order of books to her creepy, crumbling Southern Gothic mansion, Nora doesn't expect to be invited in. An agoraphobic, Lucille doesn't leave Wynter House. Nor does she invite anyone inside. But when Lucille doesn't come to the door to collect her books, Nora begins to worry. Forcing her way into Lucille's dilapidated home, Nora is shocked to find rooms packed to the ceiling with decaying books and a lifeless Lucille at the foot of her stairs.

it was a mystery within a mystery. I hope a future book is able to make a reference as to how the house both large and small ended up.

Historia
Frances and her husband, George, have two points of interest in Paris. One is an impromptu holiday to visit the Paris Exposition. The other is personal. George’s Aunt Julia has requested her nephew’s help in looking into the suspicious death of renowned artist Paul Ducasse. Though Julia is not entirely forthcoming about her reasons, she is clearly a woman mourning a lost love. At the exposition, swarming with tourists, tragedy casts a pall on the festivities. A footbridge collapses. Julia is among the casualties. However, she was not just another fateful victim.

Trite, repetitive,
Revisado: 12-29-23
I didn't make it past story #2. The first one was ok and kinda sweet, but #2 I had to keep skipping through the sex scene ad nauseam and so much angst, I just got tired of it. Both really had very little character development. At the time I was looking for a sweet little fill-in mostly to go to sleep to, but I couldn't even take it for this purpose. I should have just relistened to something Christmassy that I already had like the Christmas Bookshop or Christmas Everyday .

Years ago, when he was a homicide detective with the Seattle PD, J. P. Beaumont’s partner, Sue Danielson, was murdered. Volatile and angry, Danielson’s ex-husband came after her in her home and, with nowhere else to turn, Jared, Sue’s teenage son, frantically called Beau for help.
