Historia
Diana Gabaldon’s magnificent historical saga, begun with Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber, continues with this New York Times bestseller. Set in the intriguing Scotland of 200 years ago, the third installment in the romantic adventures of Jamie and Claire is as compelling as the first.

yay! Jamie and Claire!

If you could sum up Voyager in three words, what would they be?
Snot and tears. J&C tend to do that to me.
Have you listened to any of Davina Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to the mistress of Avalon series, and I'd say her voice box was developed to narrate this series and this series alone. Granted she sucks at Bree's voice, but Porters voice is the only one I hear when I replay Jamie and Claire quotes in my mind

Historia
In the wake of a failed love affair, brainy beauty Jilly Lovitz takes off for Tokyo. She's expecting to cry on her sister Summer's shoulder, then spend a couple months blowing off steam in Japan. Instead, she's snatched away on the back of a motorcycle, narrowly avoiding a grisly execution attempt meant for her sister and brother-in-law. Her rescuer is Reno, the Committee's most unpredictable agent. They'd met once before and the attraction was odd - tattooed Yakuza punk meets leggy California egghead - but electric.

a little yawn with the cheese
Revisado: 06-27-12
What would have made Dream Man better?
A more believable plot with more believable characters
Would you be willing to try another one of Phil Gigante’s performances?
Of course. I love Gigante's male voices but his female ones... just doesnt work
Any additional comments?
Linda Howard for me has always been hit or miss. This was a miss

what in the world
Revisado: 06-25-12
Any additional comments?
honestly- the only entertaining element of this was the P-word and C-word was used frequently to reference certain areas of the female anatomy, and "entertaining" if only at a juvenile level. I am in no way prude, and I didn't find the vocabulary "distracting", I just felt it was the only part that was worth noticing in this book. It starts off intersting enough, but as soon as the first sex scene comes in, the entire plot seems to dissapate and the book becomes pages and pages of mattress mambo. Then when the plot kicks in again, it all screams Sci-fi meets bad soap opera... really heavy on the cheesiness.

Phil Gigante rocks my socks
Revisado: 06-25-12
What made the experience of listening to Shadowfever the most enjoyable?
I loved that they used two narrators for this. Especially Phil Gigante. His voice for Jerricho Barrons is so sexy ...
Who was your favorite character and why?
The Sinsar Dubh. Those conversations are pretty thought provoking. I sometimes find myself thinking of ways to create without destroying.
Which character – as performed by Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante – was your favorite?
JZB hands down.
