After a hiatus...

Once an avid Connelly reader, I kind of dropped off after 2009’s Nine Dragons. When Amazon launched the 4th season of Bosch, my wife and I decided to give it a try and got hooked, binging every available episode then eagerly waiting for the next season. Titus Welliver’s portrayal brought a whole new level to the character. Two Kinds of Truth is the primary driver of season 5 which we watched prior to listening to the audiobook. There are plenty of differences between the timeline and characters in the books and the Amazon series to keep it interesting, but it’s Welliver’s more subtle portrayal of Bosch in the audiobook the really made it for me. His supporting voices are great but this interpretation of Bosch absolutely perfect. Subtle and stubbornly driven, righteous yet self aware and humble.
Great chapter in the series... glad to be back!
