Historia
Kelvin Wiltshire lives the life of a simple cook in a remote village on the far side of Trendham. The townsfolk think little of the man and his son and believe him to be just another refugee from the Terabinian war. On cold winter nights, they share rumors of the bloody conflict and the mysterious death of Will Cartwright, the mighty mage who had the power to command storms. They like the new cook. They fear the fallen king. But the two men are one and the same.

I think Michael Manning is a Brilliant writer and have listed to every book. At chapter 50 of Wizard Exile, I was really disappointed with the story line turning Wills son, into a underaged gay. Michael Manning can do better than this and will definitely lose a large following. I have nothing against the LGB, and deal with them like any other person. I just do not enjoy reading about the gay see in a science fiction and fantasy book. He should cut it off here. Re-think his stance on sword and sorcery.

opinion and only that.
Revisado: 06-11-22
I gave this book 5 stars based on the series up until this point. The MC is my favorite, hands down. However, book five was alot of history and magic was nullified. Kind of slow until the end. I will read book 6 and hopefully enjoy the new MC and his Allies with Simon Vance. We will see if he becomes everything JD has built him up to be or just keep getting sacrificed. If the story does not take a drastic turn for the MC and his Allies, in book 6.... there may be the need to find another Simon Vance narration. Something has to give. You cant keep getting your ass kicked every book. Good read overall. Great Job JD and Vance.

Tumultuous
Revisado: 08-19-21
I struggled with the lack of positive moments in comparison to the overwhelming disparity the characters faced. I hope the final book is a lot less stark and depressing. It was almost like an episode of "Three's Company" from the 70-80s. I have a positive attitude towards the last book. I hope it does not disappoint.
