It’s Stephen Fry Narrating! Buy it now!
Revisado: 04-16-25
It’s Harry Potter and it’s Stephen Fry narrating the book. Is there anything else I should say?? It was fantastic, I got a little teary eyed when he did some of the voices. Stephen Fry is the best. I have so much love for that man.

Historia
Beth and her gentle, kind husband Frank are happily married, but their relationship relies on the past staying buried. But when Beth’s brother-in-law shoots a dog going after their sheep, Beth doesn’t realize that the gunshot will alter the course of their lives. For the dog belonged to none other than Gabriel Wolfe, the man Beth loved as a teenager—the man who broke her heart years ago. Gabriel has returned to the village with his young son Leo, a boy who reminds Beth very much of her own son, who died in a tragic accident.

Revisado: 03-24-25
I loved this whole story! It was well told, the narrator was fantastic of course! And from beginning to end this story kept me engaged. If you loved The Unmaking of June Farrrow and Where the Crawdads Sing, but with a British setting then this book is for you.

So lovely!
Revisado: 02-20-25
I loved it from start to finish. The chemistry the characters had felt very lifelike. I loved how it touched on the seriousness of domestic abuse. Minus the darker notes sprinkled about the book. I giggled so much with this story! Highly recommend!

Historia
The folklore roots of Christmas under its many other guises (Yule, the Winter Solstice, Saturnalia) is examined in a different, darker light. The Winter Solstice is a time to be afraid. It’s the shortest day of the year, the longest night. In some parts of the world, the sun doesn’t rise at all. It’s dark, and we have to wonder if the sun will ever come back at all. Christmas has always been creepy and with The Fright Before Christmas, you'll see that side. This is a book for everyone who loves a little darkness around the holidays.

Historia
Living in a year around Christmas town has its drawbacks. The caroling, the decorations, the insanely cheery spirit, it never disappears. It's why I like to hibernate away in my cave - I mean housekeeping a healthy distance from the holly jolly spirits. And all was going according to plan until my nemesis, Storee Taylor, moved in next door to care for her Aunt Cindy. Without blinking, she turned my simple world into a real nightmare-before-Christmas, especially when she decided to enter the town Christmas Kringle contest - which she was determined to win.

A lot spicier than I thought.
Revisado: 12-24-24
It’s a cute typical, grumpy/sunshine, fake dating and enemies to lovers trope. The beginning of each chapter was delightful. And way more spicier than I thought it would be. So be prepared to squeal, sweat and blush.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

Such an adorable take on Witches!
Revisado: 10-11-24
Another Winner from Rachel Harrison! I loved this so much! Harrison has a way of capturing the beginning of female friendships. And how society views independent powerful women. She teaches us that women need to learn to love themselves before they ever need it from someone else. It was whimsy and atmospheric. I wanted to be friends with both of the MC by the end of the story. If you love witches and want a modern take on something magical. Here it is!

Yearning for a sequel
Revisado: 09-09-24
Loved the performance. The narrators were fantastic. The story kept me hooked in wanting to know what was going to happen. However I did wish the ending had us all knowing exactly what took place. But I do love the tiny glimmer of hope it left for the FMC. Now the author should write a sequel. Haha I think we all want the answers to the questions we have after reading this.

Revisado: 08-18-24
I loved this book! I’m actually pleasantly surprised how much I loved it. Congrats to Rachel Harrison because now I want to read all of her books. It was such a clever take on a werewolf story. I don’t like spoiling books so I will just say you need to buy this book if you love great narration, love a werewolf story, love a complicated family history. Love stories that involve sister relationships. So yes you must get this book!
