Another Great Installment!

Once again we are given a wonderful and adventurous story! I love how Imogen and friends get into situations then figure their way out of them but rarely how you think. I really can't say enough about this lovely series. It's fun, lighthearted, a bit suspenseful, mysterious and totally entertaining! If you are looking for a listen that will have you laughing out loud and cringing (in a good way) then you should give this book, as well as the whole series, a listen. But make sure you've got the time to listen from beginning to end because you really won't want to pause it! It's that good! The narration by Hannah Somerville is totally awesome. She gives the characters their own voices and emotions and have kept them the same from book one to now! Of all the cozy mystery series out there today, I hold them all next to this series as to what I look for. Do yourself a favor and pick this up today, you won't regret it!

Another Captivating Listen!

I absolutely adore this series! Imogen and her friends are such a riot to listen to. I think it's wonderful how each book is still so entertaining. Usually, in most other series, by the time you get to book four or five the writing becomes stagnate and predictable but not with this series. It's still highly entertaining and wonderfully refreshing. The characters stay true to themselves from the first book to this one and the situations they get into are still creative and fresh. I love it! Hannah Somerville continues to do a superb job with the narration. She has kept the voices the same from book one to now and really brings the story to life. Do yourself a favor and pick this series up!

Another Great Installment!!

Let me start by saying that this is an awesome series to get into! I absolutely love it. I enjoy this series so much that after life dumped a harsh blow to my family towards the end of last year and knocked me off my listening and reviewing stride until recently, this is the book I chose to get me back into the swing of things. It's totally entertaining and the characters are completely lovable while being a riot to listen to. If you haven't given this series a chance then you really, really should. It's a wonderful listening experience that helps to lift you out of a bad mood. I cannot recommend this set of books enough. The narration is wonderfully done as well. Hannah Somerville really brings the story and characters to life to totally immerse the listener in a great adventure.

I would also like to say thank you to Erin Johnson for her understanding and patience in regards to my reviewing. She has been wonderfully understanding towards my situation and hasn't pushed for me to hurry up and post my reviews of the books she has graciously allowed me to have codes for. She's not only an awesome writer and storyteller but truly beautiful person as well. Thank you Erin!

A Great Guide and Introduction to Oils

This is a well written great guide and introduction to essential oils. I've used essential oils for years now but I learned quite a bit from this book too. There's wonderful information about various oils and what they can be used for. I especially enjoyed the history of essential oils. If you are interested in essential oils or just curious what they are then this book is for you. The only complaint I have is that I wish there had been a pdf to go with this which would list the recipes for easier use later. The narration was nicely done. Paula Slade has a nice clear voice and read at an easy pace. A great guide that I will recommend to my friends.

Dark & Twisted with Details

This is a collection of four dark and twisted serial killers. Make sure you can handle descriptive dark details of what these four inhumans did, not much is spared. There is explicit details given but, fortunately, not all details of the horrendous acts are given. I knew of some of the information given but not all. There's not much more to say but make sure you have a strong stomach before listening to this book! It is not for the faint of heart in any way! The narration was okay. Michael Goodrick has a nice voice but his cadence of the narration was not very smooth which took a bit to adjust to.

Interesting Learning about Algorithms

An excellent book to learn about algorithms and makes it interesting. I was able to follow along and understand what was being explained. The only complaint I have is that the diagrams and examples should have a pdf of their own so the audiobook listener can see what is being referred to. Outside of that I now have a better understanding of AI and AGI. If you've ever wanted these concepts explained in as layman terms as they can be then you should check this book out but I'd suggest having at least the ebook on hand as well. The narration was well done. Jordan Gunner read at a nice pace and has a clean and clear voice.

An Excellent True Crime Collection

This is a collection of true crimes committed through the years and even other countries. I enjoy the research Jack Rosewood does for his books. The saying "truth is stranger than fiction" is so true here. Some of the cases are solved while others are not but all are unnerving because they are all true. I found the narration done very well. Herschel J. Grangent Jr. has a nice voice and reads at a good pace. I'm not sure why others find his narration horrible or difficult to listen to because I thought he did very well. Anyway, make sure to listen to the sample before getting this book to make sure you don't mind his narration style.

Interesting, Irritating & Sometimes Funny Listen

This is an interesting, irritating & eye rolling listen. Interesting due to some of his views, irritating due to a bit too much rambling and funny due to the humor (whether intended or not). I'm an, ahem, older person and found some of what the author rambles about quite humorous. I also found myself agreeing with part of what he says. This book will not be for everyone but there will be those of us who can handle it beginning to end. The narration done by the author is nicely done. This is one of those books that would have suffered if someone else had narrated it. The author is able to tell his ramblings with the tone and emotion he wants to come across.

Excellent Classic

This is a classic and not much more can be said that hasn't already been stated. So I'll just comment on the narration. Judy Holt does a superb job with this dark tale. The voices are wonderfully distinct and the emotions nicely felt. She really brings home the characters and their personalities. I remember (too long ago) reading this book in high school but found, now I'm older, I enjoyed listening to this tale even more. A great way to aquatint or reacquaint yourself with this classic tale.

Heart-wrenching Listen

Wow! Just Wow! I take my hat off to Nikki Sex for writing about such a dark, depraved and sickening topic as human trafficking and sex slaves. It is a very real problem in the world today and a hard thing to really listen to. Jeffrey Epstein anyone? Anyway, Ms Sex writes this topic with taste and style. She manages to show the true depravity and sickness that people with money and power think they can get away with. It’s truly a dark subject she handles beautifully. This book took me several times to listen to all the way through and not due to poor writing. It was due to being unnerved that such treatment exists in our world today. The writing is wonderfully done and the BDSM (which I have no problems with – it’s consenting adults rather than enslavement) is lovingly handled. I enjoy Nikki’s writing style and have even more respect for her for trying to shed some light on such a travesty happening in today’s world. The narration was okay. Guillaume Dubois really needs work on varying his voices more. It was difficult at times to know who was speaking. Overall, a worthwhile listen to those who don’t mind a bit darker content.
