stupidity in the apocalypse

I tried to like this series, hoped it would get better but it never did. The characters had so little common sense that I found myself annoyed with them. A sheriff that can't shoot, a husband that is anti gun, a prepper with no medical supplies, guns or ammo, They all have a huge issue with their conscience even after being kidnapped, robbed and beaten multiple times. At one point they need gasoline and motor oil but can't figure out that the 30 inoperable cars on their block have both in them, just plain old stupidity in the apocalypse.

the narrator did a good job but unfortunately, the story drudges on and on while the characters either drop their weapon or get it knocked from their grip and get punched in the face. The author should learn how firearms work if he is going to write about them. Characters irritatingly refuse to eliminate the threats of all the people that shoot at them, beat them and tie them up over and over. The man risks life and limb to get antifreeze rather than water, guess he doesn't want truck with bullit hole in radiator to freeze. Seriously?

good listen, good story

I like this book was interesting and had a decent storyline. the narrator mispronounced Willamette which I find slightly humorous. this is one of those series where they switch narrators between books so the voice of the earlier characters is not the same of them in the second book which can be a little confusing and slightly irritating still worth listening to this book I also think that whoever wrote this hasn't spent much time on the West Coast because their mapping is way off from reality i e Tahoes a lot farther from Eugene then they make it out to be

story is good, like the other books but "special effects" background sounds made tho ex almost unbearable, this is the 3rd narrator since series started which I find annoying like a band with a new lead singer on every new release. hope sound effects are gone on next installment

this is by far nicks best work to date, not just trackers series, out of ALL his work. this book will make you want to go take out some nazis . Can't wait for helldivers new book. thanks nick

nothing goes this smoothly on a regular Wednesday, much less during an emp inspired apocalypse . very Barbie-esk, with an instant solution to everything that pops up except for just shooting the bad guys. guessing that at my house, post emp, there will be more visits from Mr Murphy and more shooting but fewer cofflee breaks with fresh baked muffins......probably better suited for teen girls wishing to switch from vampire romance to dystopian fiction. 3 stars for effort

painful to finish

first, let me say that I really liked the first 2 books, gave first 5 stars and second 4. I don't know what happened here but it's not good. narration is so painful it was almost impossible to finish. imagine the 6 worst voice try outs for TomTom GPS that were rejected, then mix 1 part story line from one of my daughter's Barbie movies with a PG rated soft porn story line with a large pinch of apocalypse and you have the story line. the author goes into great detail about how Stryker or one of his supermodel gf's make coffee at least 4-5 times on a stove......in a world where all women over 26 and 120 lbs are dead, leaving only brain dead big boobed sports illustrated bikini models in a wet shirt and panties alive , to cavort across the wasteland while Stryker kills almost every male he encounters, would please most 15-18 year old boys taste, it only made me see Barbie movies in a whole new light. for what it's worth, I am a huge fan of dystopian fiction, just not this book.

realistic story that rings true

nice to have a realistic read without any zombies or mutant monsters ruining the reality of what life would become. Very accurare like one second after series, probably what life will play out as ,in the future. Eagerly awaiting sequel. Go buy some beans and rice while you wait for book 2.
