Story captured me and narration excellent
Revisado: 02-03-25
I thoroughly enjoyed “A Partial Sun.” The story had me entertained from start to finish, and I felt like I was back in the times of Thomas Jefferson, learning what living during these times was like for the various characters. The narration was excellent: well-paced, clear and each character was portrayed so well. I look forward to the sequel: I want to find out what happens to Isaac next!

Kept me totally engaged
Revisado: 09-14-24
I had no idea what the plot was going to be about and was totally surprised and engaged with the story of the accident. Having it described through the eyes of the deceased was brilliant. There was so much insight and wisdom into the characters. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed all the narration.. different voices for each character. And all fit perfectly. The story was uplifting and left me with a feeling of hope for human beings that once seemed hopeless. it kept my attention throughout. Highly recommend.

Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes best-selling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block.

Revisado: 05-27-24
I enjoyed the characters and the story. Great dialogue that made me laugh and tear up at times. I got bored with the lengthy sex scenes that went on too long to hold my interest. I would recommend the book anyway. If you’re like me you can just fast-forward through that stuff and the rest of the story is worth listening to.

Revisado: 04-02-24
Kristin Hannah’s books can be so intense they are challenging to listen to at times, But they reach down deep and call to the reader/ listener, to find the courage the characters are finding to make it through their stories. So beautifully written and so compelling. I’m amazed at talent like this, including the narrator’s.

Another excellent story that kept my attention the whole way through. The characters are so real and the story heart warming. Imagine being wrongly accused and imprisoned. What a nightmare that would be but Bosch and Haller worked their magic.

Fascinating education about wrongful incarceration
Revisado: 01-25-24
It took me a bit to get into the slower pace of this audiobook but it turned out to be really interesting. I learned a lot about what goes on behind the scenes when someone is wrongfully incarcerated. Interesting characters that I cared about. Well narrated. Plot moved along at a good steady pace and kept my interest.

Historia
An activist attorney is killed in a cute little L.A. trolley called Angels Flight, far from Harry Bosch's Hollywood turf. But the case is so explosive - and the dead man's enemies inside the L.A.P.D. are so numerous - that it falls to Harry to solve it. Now the streets are superheating. Harry's year-old Vegas marriage is unraveling. And the hunt for a killer is leading Harry to another high-profile L.A. murder case, one where every cop had a motive. The question is, did any have the guts?

Really captivating story
Revisado: 01-14-24
I’m always amazed that people like Michael Connelly have imaginations that can come up with stories like this one. Worth listening to even though the narration was tortured sounding with the Bosch character.
I have listened to another Bosch book by this narrator, and he improved a lot after this. I’m guessing in response to the feedback, so good for him. But I wouldn’t skip this book because of the narration, it’s possible to get used to it and the story is great.
