Historia
Presley Evans has been labeled as promiscuous ever since she was a teenager and it has unfortunately followed her into adulthood. Being painted as someone she isn't, for as long as she can remember, has taken a toll on the young beauty, numbing her whole being. Couple that with the hurtful secrets she's harboring from the world, no one would blame her for her desensitized attitude. But when she meets a handsome NFL player who offers her an arrangement she can't turn down, and one that would ignite the spark she's been missing for so long, Presley can't help but to oblige.

Of Course This Story Is Amazing
Revisado: 02-03-25
Queen Shvonne is an amazing storyteller, we all know that. As a person who has read every book available in this series on Kindle and is just re-reading (listening) here on Audible, I have to comment on the narration. Tony Isabella is a favorite, so he was perfect. However, this series is my introduction to Anna Lynn Wright. Whenever she is reading as the main female lead, she's perfectly fine. However, when she starts to read as someone else, OMG!!! Why is everyone else British????? Also why does she make all of the older women in the stories sound so old and crusty. The way she sounds as Lisara makes me cringe for enjoying her spicy scenes in book 1 lol. I get trying to differentiate the characters with voice changing, but goodness! BTW I noticed this in Letters From A Gangsta too, I just couldn't take it anymore as I was listening to this one and had to say something. Of course I'll still finish the series, because the stories are amazing. I just hope going forward Anna doesn't make anyone else British! 😂😂

Historia
In his new position as head of the Baptiste family business, Saint faces many challenges. Nothing could have prepared him for the challenges that came with dealing with the alluring Naoki Childs. She was the insoluble problem his big brother, Jahad, talked about. A problem that couldn't be handled with a phone call, a meeting, or by simply emptying his clip. Saint thought he'd never be faced with a problem he couldn't handle, especially where a woman was concerned. But he quickly learned that Naoki wasn't just some woman. She was much, much more than that.

Internal Dialogues
Revisado: 06-04-24
Listen, these long drawn out internal dialogues completely ruined these stories. I felt the same exact way about book 1. The storylines have so much potential, but the fact that about 85% of the book is internal thinking and the characters only interact for about 15% of it ruins it for me. These are my first titles by this author and if this is her typical style of writing, she might not be for me.

From the moment his eyes met hers, there was something. Time stood still, the world around them vanished, and electricity... instant electricity. Immediately, she owned him in an inexplicable way he couldn’t quite understand. He couldn't escape her. Not in his dreams. And soon, not even in his reality. He was the man that made her soar. There was nothing in the world she wanted more than him. Absolutely nothing. His touch made her levitate. When she was with him, she was limitless. He felt like home.

Drawn Out
Revisado: 05-27-24
I need yall to help me understand why I should finish this book. I have listened to 12 hours of the story already and do not see how the perception of Cienna's character changes. She is straight up trifling period. I don't see how the fact that she went BACK to work for this woman AFTER she slept with her husband, on this woman's counter in this woman's house claiming to be honoring and "oath" can be overlooked. The first time I gave her a pass because she honestly didn't know, but after she found out and still stayed on as the doula, I started side eyeing her big time and haven't stopped since. Jahad was no better. He should have never allowed that woman to play in his wife's face after realizing who she was. I keep ready about a HEA in the reviews, but I'm just not understanding how they end up deserving one together. Also, the internal dialogue is waaaayyy too long. They talk to themselves in their heads so much that I forget when they're in a middle of a conversation with another character. We could have gotten to the meat and bones of this story so much quicker without the long-winded self talk and repeating the same things over and over. The number of times that Sienna tells herself that she's losing her mind is cringe worthy. Idk I think I'm just going to go listen to something else and come back to finish once some of my frustration wears off because this book is making my blood pressure rise smh.

Can't even finish this book. Wesleigh got me through book 1, but 30 minutes into book 2, I am done. Not even due to the narrator change, although that was a bad move. I simply can't get past everyone being upset at Allina for refusing to be cheated on. I just can't get with that narrative. She forgave him once, and everyone wanted her to just keep accepting it. And that Vanessa?!?!?!?!?! Nah, I'm good. Pretty sure the author is a man. Thank God these were free smh.

My Absolute Favorite Book by AshleyNicole
Revisado: 08-31-23
This is my absolute favorite AshleyNicole book!! Already read the book on Kindle, so of course, I had to get the audio version. This book has everything from comedy to romance, drama, and trauma. And it's all balanced perfectly. Love love love this book. I thought the narrators were perfect for these characters as well. I'm sure I'll listen again soon.

Axel Chamberlain hadn't foreseen ending one relationship, only to find himself immersed in another soon after. Emersyn Myers, on the other hand, returned to Los Angeles with her heart open to putting down roots in the city she's always known as home. For these two—while the unexpected had occurred—it was what they needed most.

I love Asia Monique
Revisado: 08-30-23
I love Asia Monique and have read most of her books. However, I am so not a Morae Brehon/Adenrele Ojo fan at all. So many of my favorite authors use her, so I assume she's a big deal in the narration world, but I personally do not prefer her. Her voice is waaaay too mature for most of the characters she read, and her reading is super dramatic. Like soap opera, Broadway dramatic, and it takes away from the amazing stories she reads. I'm sure my opinion is not popular because she is used so often, but I will literally skip past books by some of my favorite authors when I see her name attached. I'd rather read them on Kindle than listen to the audio version 🤷🏾♀️. Anyway, the story was amazing, of course, and after struggling through the first 3 books of this series, I'm pretty sure I'm just going to download book 4 on Kindle.

Historia
Sebastien Bennett is a man that is focused on two things. His career and his family. He isn't configured to add any stumbling blocks into his already perfectly crafted routine. That is...until love comes unexpectedly. Imani Barasa doesn't care about the fanfare surrounding her work life. Her only concern is making sure that her clients stay out of trouble and out of the media for all the wrong reasons.

Soooooooo Boring!!
Revisado: 06-05-23
Let me just start with stating that I am not even finished with this book yet. It has never taken me this long to listen to an audio book. I cannot stay focused on this story. It is all over the place, the timelines don't match up with the previous books, and it is just plain old boring. The romance is absolutely non-existent because the story focuses so much on the characters separately. I am flabbergasted at how this series started off so well and then declined with each book (read my review on Benji's story). I'm going to finish it because I paid for it, but I am extremely disappointed. 😞

Historia
Benjamin Bennett leads a lifestyle that many could only dream of. He's a star quarterback, well educated, and he knows how to get what he wants. But what he stays clear from is love because his ambition and goals don't align with it. Riana is sassy and all about herself. Her world consists of her career as a musician and she doesn't see anything outside of it. Though her intentions are good, she battles issues from the past that hinders her from truly moving forward in life, especially in the love department.

The Heroine Was Disappointing
Revisado: 06-01-23
I absolutely loved book 1 of this series, so there wasn't a question if I would continue it or not. Oh boy how disappointing. The story had the potential to be amazing, but that Riana was selfish down to the very end. I saw absolutely no growth in her character at all. Besides the small mention of her being back in church during the epilogue, we witnessed no change in her behavior. She had the nerve to be upset at Benji over some videos he could've easily explained away immediately if she hadn't been so stubborn after she snuck to have a conversation with Santos. A conversation that turned inappropriate with her rubbing all on his face because she STILL could not be a woman and just own up to her mess and accept fault. I am a woman that has made plenty of mistakes, but I absolutely could not relate to the type of woman Riana was because she wouldn't accept or acknowledge her faults. She always deflected. All the way up to the final chapter before the epilogue, she displayed immaturity. I just couldn't get with her. I loved Benji's growth though. 🤷🏾♀️
