My first audiobook was the first of this series now Im on book 5 and looking forward to the next books this has been such a breath of fresh air with such an amazing story line that keeps pulling me in falling in love with characters and imagination please keep making these I really appreciate this more then you know

This was a fun Academy story, I'm loving the abilities and the depth of the setting that continues to build naturally. The narrators do an excellent job and really sell the characters, learn a few new laughs though bro.

The series has had its ups and downs but Shirtaloon really brings it with this title. you'll cry, laugh, cheer and sit on the edge of your seat through the entire story. good job 👍🏻

Feels like I'm listening to an instructional book

First off I love this series, great characters, setting, and plot so far. This book though... so boring... why spend hours explaining every little detail about alchemy or rift creation. Barely any action or progression, I get that they're setting up the next arc or whatever but this is almost insulting that I spent money on what's essentially a textbook.

I can't believe I didn't take everyone's advice sooner and listen to Beware of Chicken... I didn't realize I needed a story as good as this. It's a nice break from the semi serious, action filled stories I usually listen to and the whole story with the animals is so unique and entertaining. 100% agree with the recommendation and if you're thinking about listening to it go for it, Travis Baldree is amazing once again and delivers 👍🏻.

Unique perspective

I have devoured all three books in this last week due to the unique perspective of the main character and how he approaches situations in a world that I love. it's nice to see authors thinking outside of the box in the LitRPG community and I've quickly become a big fan of Mr Matthew's work. I strongly suggest you pick up book one and allow yourself to fall into this wonderful story narrated by an amazing performer whose character acting is superb.

This book is meant to be over the top at times I feel, it fits in with the lighter tone and makes the dramatic moments more impactful. Narrator was a bit cartoonish with his tone but it fits with the ridiculousness that Luke endures.
No where in the description does it specify you'll only follow Luke. Each character had their role to play and what we hear about them sets up the story. This is a fun book that will have you laughing and crying over Luke's ordeals. I've read the first two on Kindle and grabbed the audiobook to listen while working. Really excited about part 3 and definitely recommend this series for a fun read.
