I enjoy Ms. Gordon's writing :-) She creates many interesting characters - human, hybrid and werewolf - and puts them all in a suspense/thriller type of setup.

You have bad guys (in this case, Russians of the Chess Piece Mob) and good guys (Lycan Intelligence Agency or LIA for short) and they all blend together around a great love story, though a love story with lots of twists and surprises along the way.

Narration is good - character voices fit well, accents are realistic, and sex scenes are hot, hot, hot!

Highly recommended paranormal romance :-)

Now Whispersync'ed - get ebook and audio together!

I'm so glad this beautiful story is now Whispersync'ed! You really need to buy the audiobook with the ebook/Kindle version and follow along to really understand all the Hawaiian words and what they mean. The author tends to either use a Hawaiian word to describe children ('keiki') or uses the English word.

Also, it makes it easier to understand if the Hawaiian word is a place, a person or something else.

It is an amazing, lovely written story - I learned so much about Hawaiian culture, superstitions and folklore (and some historical points too). I highly recommend getting it - but get both together for the best experience!

I love this author's football romances! They're fun and sexy with characters you love to see win - on or off the field ;-)

Just wish the stories were longer, but they are still great just the same :-)

The perfect summertime romance!

The author continues to create a wonderful thread between the characters in her first two stories in the series, and with the new characters she introduces here - plus cleverly sets up the ending for another story to follow!

The writing keeps getting better - there is always background and plot with conflict and great humor thrown in, not just gratuitous sex. The narrator is smooth and always a pleasure to listen to.

Another winning 'season' in 'Huddle Up'!

Would you consider the audio edition of Enslaved to be better than the print version?

In many ways, yes - because the voice inside my head narrating silently when I read with my eyes isn't as rich or humorous as the narrator's voice. It's also great to listen to a book when your eyes are tired, and gives your hands other things to do (like driving to work, or 'other' things ;-))

What does Christine Padovan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings out the humor, the angst, the intelligence and color of each of the characters. The hard knocks, tough to feel deserving of love, Elisabeth; the Dom looking for the right woman, Trevor; his Dom friends and colleagues, Roman and Marc; new found love for Gregory and his sub, Andrew.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! It's one of those 'hard to put down' type of books, especially when the narrator's voice gets you so hot and bothered, you need to 'relieve' yourself :-) The author, Ms. Evers creates such interesting characters and weaves the story seamlessly around them, that you don't want to stop listening till you hear the resolution at the end. And Ms. Evers has happy endings to her stories - and I 'loves me a happy ending' as one of the characters says in this story :-)

Ignore the 1 star reviewer. Looking at the reviewers who write blatant lies about certain narrators and/or authors, you can tell from the repeated lines they say, that it is some jealous person who can't stand someone else's success, and feel they just have to buy any audiobook the narrator narrates or author writes, just to give their audiobook a low rating, then return the book to bash someone else. How pathetic!

This is definitely a well written, well narrated winner - I hope to see more of Ms. Evers' stories come to life with great voices such as Ms. Padovan's :-)

A menage with a happy ending! OohRah!

So great for Ms. Long to continue where 'Retreat Hell! She Just Got Here' left off :-) She takes these wonderful characters who hit it off from their 1Night Stand encounter, and creates an amazing setting, centering around Jazz's battle injuries.

There is never a boring moment; everyone stays forward thinking even in the midst of conflict, and the author intersperses the right amount of hot sex in all the right places :-)

OohRah for these strong, sexy Marines!

Leave it to Ms. Long on giving her characters such diverse backgrounds and talents :-)

As always, the series continues in depth with weaving sensual nuances into the telling of each character's own story. Having Damon be a chef, creating a dinner of pure titillation had me reaching many times for my vibrator (my b.f. being out of town on biz) as the story continued wonderfully to amazing climaxes and new heights in the seduction department.

Kudos to Ms. Long in continuing to use Christine Padovan as her narrator - her throaty tones were perfect, especially her voice choice for Helena.

Keep 'em 'coming', Audible!

I wonder what would happen if the author quit her job as a 'mild mannered accountant by day' and became a full-time writer? Her stories have wonderful, sexy characters, great spot-on humor and hot sex too :-)

The throaty, sexy voice of Ms. Padovan is even better here than in 'Playing for Keeps' - very relaxed and sounds like she was having fun; the dialogue and narrator parts flow beautifully.

If you could sum up Retreat Hell! She Just Got Here in three words, what would they be?

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's hard - all three were so likable. I really liked Jazz - she was one of the guys for so long as a Marine and wanted to explore being a woman so badly. Her transformation was very fun to listen to :-).

What about Christine Padovan’s performance did you like?

Her alto tones are so pleasant to listen to. I enjoy how she voices male characters and makes them so real.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I felt bad for Logan, thinking he may not be able to overcome his injuries to be with a woman. But definitely, I was grinning with the end results :-).

Way better than Fifty Shades of Grey!!!

What a great concept! Get a bunch of great authors together of different romance/erotica genres, take the same beginning and write a different story in that author's genre on the same main character!

Not sure if this publisher will always offer this lower pricing structure on these stories on Audible, but if so, you definitely get more 'bang' for your buck buying and listening to the 'Entwined' stories ;-)

Can't wait for Volume 2 to 'come' out !
