Historia
In this accessible, fascinating look at the science of remembering, you'll learn how we turn perceptions into memories, how language shapes our experiences, and the crucial role forgetting plays in human recollection. You'll see how electricity, chemistry, and abstraction combine to form something more than the human brain - the human mind. And you'll gain surprising insight into what our brains can tell us about who we are.

Historia
The story is supposed to be over. Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after.... So why can’t Simon Snow get off the couch? What he needs, according to his best friend, is a change of scenery. That’s how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West. They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) And they get lost.

Drags near the end
Revisado: 10-24-19
There is suppose to be one more book, I will listen to it. However the endless lack of growth for the romance is draining and feels less mature than it did in the first novel. I get the issues presented, it's just boring by the end. I'd rather see them commicate properly

Historia
The Theft of a Decade is a contrarian, revelatory analysis of how one generation pulled the rug out from under another and the myriad consequences that has set in store for all of us. The millennial generation was the unfortunate victim of several generations of economic theories that made life harder for them than it was for their grandparents. Then came the crash of 2008, and the boomer generation's reaction to it was brutal: politicians and policymakers made deliberate decisions that favored the interests of the boomer generation over their heirs.

I feel like I just listened to a dog whistle
Revisado: 06-28-19
It started fine, and he makes some good points, but as even handed and unbiased as I believe he wants to appear in the end he reveals his true motives through how he says things and describes them. Coaxing people away from community, favoring GOP views. Disappointing.

Historia
I've managed to survive my first week in Euphoria Online. But I couldn't have done it without my new friends. Lotharia. Falkon. The Green Liver goblins. But now Lotharia's gone missing. Swallowed by that nightmare keep. Lost to the darkness. Everyone's telling me that going after her is madness. That I don't have a chance in hell. But I'm not the kind of guy to turn my back on my friends. Damn the odds. I'm going to find her.

Far too much action
Revisado: 03-09-19
The story in the first book hooked me, this one bored me. It's literally just fight after fight with little room to breath. I dont mind a good action scene, however the endless fighting put me to sleep.
I will get the thrid book as it seems questions will be answered and more world building will be done. the middle entry is a huge disappointmwnt though.
for anyone who likes more brains than grand in a story probably pass on this one.

Historia
Nine months ago, Zeus' murder catapulted the Greek gods back into public life. Now, the whole pantheon revels in new temples, casinos, and media empires - except Apollo. Yet there may be hope, if only he can return Zeus to life! With the aid of Thalia, the muse of comedy and science fiction, Apollo will risk his very godhood to help TV producer Tracy Wallace and a gamer geek named Leif, who hold the key to Zeus' resurrection.

A Slow start but a thrilling romp at the end
Revisado: 10-09-18
While the beginning took me awhile to find footing with by a thrid of the way in I was quite invested and feeling the rhythm of the story. it was a very enjoyable ride.
it was also amazing that the author personally assured me that there wouldnt be any personal triggers in the book.
I have just completed the book for the second time and found it even more enjoyable than the first, as it was easier to follow the beginning than before.
I'm looking forward to the next book :)

Historia
The Borderlands aren't like anywhere else. Don't try to smuggle a phone or any other piece of technology over the wall that marks the Border - unless you enjoy a fireworks display in your backpack. (Ballpoint pens are okay.) There are elves, harpies, and - best of all as far as Elliot is concerned - mermaids. Elliot? Who's Elliot? Elliot is 13 years old. He's smart and just a tiny bit obnoxious. Sometimes more than a tiny bit. When his class goes on a field trip and he can see a wall that no one else can see, he is given the chance to go to school in the Borderlands.

A refreashing and wonderful love story for all
Revisado: 10-06-18
I can not express how pleased I am by both the realistic and subtle nature of romance expressed here. and in my opinion the very accurate picture of how someone behaves after a life of neglect, how damaging it is and how it twists even the best personalities.
the ending was close to perfect. though I would love a lol epilogue of years later I understand why the author might not have added it.
*Spoilers*******************
The best part was how the romance was even all round and how there was no focus on shaming or a tragic end as in many gay romances still. there were compications of course otherwise things would get boring but it never felt forced and all my time rooting for happiness for them all was rewarded. I wish there were more stories like this.

Great throwback, mild hiccup

Good as I remembered, I did however forget the very dated and kind of distrubing reference to domestic violence in the middle. a product of the time and a passing moment. felt I should mention if it might bother someone.
